something organic, cheaper foods like imas pedigre kibble and bits ect..basically any food you find in a grocery store you should stay away from. They may be cheap but you are getting what you pay for and thats garbage. Theyre made with all kinds of unhealthy by products and they make your dog poop a whole lot more. Plau alot of dogs are allergic to wheat and thats what those foods are made up with mainly. Try going to a petco or petsmart and picking a little more expensive but worth it organic food. They poop less and in the end get real meat veggis and theyre coats are beautiful. My dog lucy is allergic to wheat and before i knew she ate the cheap foods and got a horrible rash that never healed now i feed her an organic food and she is healthy and happy, and it last a long time!

After 38 years as a breeder, and trying most brands of dog food, I can't believe the difference in them since I began feeding Canidae..the old dogs are acting like pups and the youngsters have grown soooooooo beautifully!
My 10 year old had a physical, and the vet was amazed that her blood values were that of a 4-5 year old..and her teeth had NO tarter..My 7 year old was spayed last month, the vet was amazed at her 10 day check up, how well she had healed..and he commented that her teeth were absolutely clean..
Innova, Solid Gold, Wellness (Old Mother Hubbard) and Wysong are all great kibbles, but I am certainly happy with Canidae..

I wouldn't feed Iams it's worse than Nutro. and Nutro is low quality food. It's loaded with fillers By-products, corn, and wheat which can contribute to food allergies and obesity. The best foods on the market are... Wellness, Core Innova, Evo Canidae Merrick Eagle Pack holistic Select Timberwolf Azmira Stay away from Eukanuba Science Diet Iams Pedigree Ol'Roy and any food that is sold at grocery's stores

My vet recommended Hill's Science Diet for my dogs it comes in puppy formula all the way up to senior they even have a prescription form of this food...go figure but I do swear by this food for the dogs. Their coats are shiny their teeth look great and we get good check ups every 6 months. When I first got these dogs i was feeding them cheap dog food from the store (no name mentioned).. their coats was dull and lifeless. Then the vet recommended Science diet and all has been great since. GL with your little guy

Was feeding Nutro Natural. Dog developed hot spots, then lick granuloma. We were switched to Urban Wolf--currently cooking hamburger and adding this mix to it. May go raw someday. The mutt dog no longer has digestive issues, the leg is healing in other dog and both have developed incredible coats of fur in just 2 wks of new food. What an amazing thing! Puppy can have it, but you add the vitamin supplement they list on pkg and sell.

Science Hill is the dog food that my vet recommends. It's a little pricey but it's the best out there. It was created by vets with each type of puppy/dog kitten/cat in mind. But for advice on feeding you should call your vet. They will be happy to hekp you establish a diet specific for your animal.

I feed my dogs Innova EVO, it is totally grain free and my dogs love it.

Some excellent foods are:

Innova
Solid Gold
Nature's Variety
Wellness
California Natural
Wysong
Timberwolf
Fromm
Natural balance

This is just a few of the ones I can think of right now, I'm sure I missed a few.

Wellness, Artemis and all the Natura Pet Products are the absolute best.
Look for foods that don't contain any corn or wheat. Preservatives are also bad, so is animal-by-product and animal digest. You want all natural food, no fillers and lots of meat.
Anything you buy from Petco, Petsmart, Walmart and the grocery store is poison. Don't believe me, read "Foods Pets Die For" by Ann N. Martin. You will be shocked and amazed!!
Never feed Purina, Iams or Science Diet. Vet's are paid to say good things about them and given free food and "kick backs" to recommend it to their patients.
