My boyfriend is 57 and I am 31. Just out of curiosity, I am wondering if anyone thinks that is unusual.

I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

The more things you don't have in common the more difficult relationships are. Having that much of an age difference means that you will have less in common.

yes i think it's too much...
but with love age doesn't matter at all...
as long as you both love each other the way you both are...
it's unusual but if true love exist nothing's gonna stop that!

It is somewhat unusual, but not to be dismissed out of hand.
I like to say that in this wandering trail of life, it is not as important who you cross paths with, but whos trail runs along side yours.

hmm kinda yea it is weird. lets see a girl is 16 and her boyfriend is 42. so think of it that way that is a 26 year difference. thats practically father - daughter. same as ur situation.

Yes, this is too much. If you think about it... by the time you were born, this guy could've gotten married, had kids, been divorced and gotten his PhD!
