You are the one who sounds so hostile and you seem to believe so great with little thing you have above your shoulder. People who really are intelligent are wise enough not to care so much about other people with different belief in life because they are really busy working for the better future of the world.
With you having to write like what you've written must have a very a little world to roam about and a very little mind to be more creative. I have known a lot of friends who are really intelligent academically and they do not have time for me which I am not sorry because I know they spend their quality time to create something for the world to enjoy.You as an American with GREAT AMERICAN SPIRIT must have forgotten also that America was built earlier by people with the Christian Cross planted on the soil you call America and before that, are travelling tribes on horses and caravans believing in super natural being as the source of all lives. You also must have forgotten that your American laws written were mostly based on the Christian Doctrines. And your court of Laws oftentimes ask your witnesses to swear by the Bible ending the promise with "so Help me god."

--I am sorry that you carry so much anger and pain. Christians are still sinful human beings, just like the rest of the world.
--The only difference is that they have asked for and received forgiveness and are _striving_ (some more than others) not to repeat past mistakes; secondly, Christians are directed to forgive others just as we would want Jesus to forgive us. Christians are NEVER directed to devalue another person's belief; tolerance is the operative word here, not attack.
Would you be willing to try these simple ideas to bring a little peace in your life? They have nothing to do with reading the Bible or becoming Christian; they are simple tools I thought you might like.
1. Realize people live two lives; the one we learn with, and the one we live after that.
2. Allow people the right to make mistakes within the 'learning' life.
3. Forgive them for their mistakes; after all, you have a learning life, too. You do not want to be held accountable for every transgression, do you?
An attack on the level you mentioned is an indicator of their starving spirit, not of your shortcomings. Try not let their opinion affect your reality. Peace.
