suck a lemon

failing that, suck another one

failing that, go to the doctor and get a referral - the radiology mob can do a sialogram and possibly arrange some way to get the blockage out.

They sometimes thread a very small catheter into the duct and try to dislodge it. If it is an occasional flare up - try sucking on lemon slices to see if it will dislodge and move on. I'm not sure if they do surgery on them or use medication. Since the duct is soooooo small, the stones are also very small.

If they are too big to pass through the ducts then surgery is your only option.

Meanwhile, hydrate yourself well with water. Suck on lemons or other things that stimulate your saliva to flow thereby carrying the stones out of the ducts.

Sorry I know it is painful.

Good luck.
