For those of you who answered yes to my previous question:
Deuteronomy 22:23-39
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+22-23;&version=49;
No marriage for the previously divorced ethier: (Matthew 5:32)
And no marriage for men who have had sexual thoughts about a woman other than their intended? (Matthew 5:28)
There's a little more to it than the man/woman thing.

I can't believe people are actually answering your question seriously. Just state your point man, seriously without the crudeness because you lost me for a minute when I saw that post. Half these people aren't getting it anyway.
The bible also condemns cheating on your spouse, or even thinking about cheating, being divorced, having sex without being married (which most people do so I can't figure out the big act), ....... why are these sins more forgivable than homosexuality? I'm sure the answer will be all about heterosexuality but is a faithful homosexual truly worse than an unfaithful heterosexual? And isn't an unfaithful heterosexual degrading marriage more than, if not equally, to allowing two gay people to marry? Not to mention the people who marry for benefits... insurance, citizenship... (sorry didn't mean to interrupt your question but had to say that)

No. Rape is a brutal crime. In biblical times, virginity was very sacred and if a woman lost it before marriage she was outcast and no man would ever marry her. This is why the passage said that the man who raped the woman must marry her, because no one else would given that she was no longer a virgin.
Times have definitely changed from the before Christ era and though this decree made sense at the time it was written, it is by no means correct for today's times. I do not think a woman should have to marry her rapist.

No he already stripped her of everything she is. Where God now has to restored her mind and too let her know who she is. He never knew her true value. A man who finds virtue in a woman its a gift from God no one can just take it. With out a price her price is far more valuable than rubies. The man who rapes her is weak and was never worthy to be blessed by her.See a woman is a help-mate she compliments her mate. She adds to his life something that he was missing. God fills that missing piece when he man woman.

NO. The man, or men, should be castrated. Remember, an eye for an eye & a tooth for a tooth. Do the math. If you're going to go with scriptue, then use both old and new testaments.

I would no sooner base my answer to your question on a book written 2000 years ago than I would ask a caveman how to get a red wine stain out of my favorite shirt.

If the woman loved or liked her rapist, she never would have been raped. So why force them into marriage?

No. The man has no right to force himself on a woman. And by the way, you are not God!

Rape is not about sex, it is about power. If you forced that woman to marry that man, you would be dooming her to a lifetime of abuse. Rapists should be punished, not rewarded with a lifetime victim.

There is only one God. I think you spelled your name backwards. ooops. :-) But by the strictness of the laws I read sounds like if a man raped the woman he should be neutered and forever be the woman's slave.
