Kinda long, but....
I broke up with my girlfriend of three years about a year ago because she wanted me to move to her city. I could not do that because I simply got "scared" that we would end up married right after that, which I was not ready for. We talked and saw each other on and off after that, but starting in about May 2006 I got caught up in enjoying my last summer before law school, which didn't driving 3 hours to see her. I still loved her then and I still do now. However, she wants to keep her distance from me now that she is in law school too about 3 hours away. She says it hurt her that I didn't talk to her all summer and didn't visit her, which is why she doesn't really want to have anything but friendship. The thing is, as friends we still hooked up whenever we saw each other, and now I think she is dating a guy at school. I can't EVER get her off my mind, and have spilled my feelings of love to her several times, to which she does not respond. How should I handle her?

You don't "handle" her.I left my 2nd husband 1201 miles away.I loved him so much it hurt, and I mean I thought I was going to die.But I HAD to leave him b/c of his alcohol abuse and his physical violence against me.I cried for what seems like forever.People would give me advice like,"why do you still love him after the violence." Other people don't know what is in your heart.I had to hear his voice every single day.It is a good thing I moved that far away or I probably would of ended up right back with him.He was the love of my life.I stopped calling him and refused his phone calls and was able to move on with my life.I am not going to tell you it is easy,as it is not.But be strong, realize you need to move on.You may always love her and you definitely won't forget her,but for your own sake you need to bring closure to this relationship.
