Ok, what are the chances of getting caught having sex with a minor...? I'm not having sex with a minor...but my boyfriend is about to turn 18...and I'm just wondering, how likely would it be to get caught? And what are the ways we could get caught...?

My mother already knows....about him and I having sex...would the only reason he'd get charged with statutory rape be if my mother pressed charges?

FYI--if your parents were to press charges against him, he could be forced to register as a sex offender...which would pretty much destroy his entire life. I know that if you are already having sex with him, you probably are not going to stop just because he is turning 18. You should probably tell your parents that the two of you are having sex and let them know that you are being responsible (I hope you are). There's no way to know how your parents will react if you should become pregnant or if they catch you in the act. Chances are, if you've been dating each other for awhile, your parents have probably already figured out that you are sexually active. You really need to discuss with your boyfriend how much he is willing to risk; and discuss with your parents the choices you've made.

ok if you are not having sex with a minor than why are you asking but the consecuse are going to jail due to having sex with a minor that is consider rape in some states even if they consent the ways of getting caught are some one walking in and then calling the cops for example his parents or your parents if they don't like him or a friend calling the cops or he may go back and brag to his buddys that he just had sex with a older woman and a cop or a friend of his goes to the cops so watch out you never know who you can trust be on the safe side and wait untill he is 18 perhaps give you to him on his 18th birthday good luck

im assuming since you are young, you try every way not to get caught already. the thing about sex with a minor is that, even if you arent caught in the act, if for whatever reason your parents find out and/or dont like the guy, they can get him stat. rape. which is when its mutual, but someone is still underage. its not so much of the act, but maybe you should talk to your parents about this because as most people know...if you are doing something wrong, your parents are going to find out.

Don't take thoat chance. If you really love him you will wait until you are legal. Ways you could be caught would depend on where you had sex but there is no really private place. A neighbor could see you going into his apartment or getting into his car. Your mother might get suspicious of any number of clues. Sooner or later, you'll feel like you just have to tell someone who then tells someone... Friends and family members drop by at the most inconvenient times. Believe me, there are thousands more ways and none of them are fun.

go online and find out what the legal age of consent is where you live. In Michigan legal age of consent is 16. but with the world going nuts about underage girls having sex they will always go after the guy so watch out!!

Ways you can get caught:
1. get caught in the act
2. get pregnant
3. get an STD

And basically, for him to be prosecuted, either you or your parents would need to press charges. Usually it is the parents.

It is VERY VERY VERY (5%) rare that parents press charges when the boy is banging an older girl, especially when he is 17..

if you guys are close in age (i believe within 2 or 3) then you should not have to worry about consent.
