No, because Marriage is not a Biblical institution. It's a legal definition. (Here's a hint - if it were religious, then atheists couldn't get married...)

No, I don't. For one thing, I think that there is a difference between marriage of the body for the purpose of bringing together possessions and living together, and marriage of the spirit for the purpose of enriching your life through congress with another human being who is your balancing strength. I think that it's a shame that the two have been combined for so long. It's great that the court is able to recognize marriages without religion coming into play these days, but I think they should take it another step further and separate it completely. If someone wants to have a religious ceremony after or before filling out all of the paperwork, fine, but the judge should be the only person able to say that two people are physically joined in marriage, irrespective of gender. (Age should definitely still be a consideration, though.)

I believe in religion and state being separate. Nobody should have the right to push their religious beliefs on another. With that I definitely believe that gay marriage should be legalized. If one chooses to marry in a church than we have a problem because most religions surrounding Christianity do not accept homosexuality. But many people do not get married in a church and if someone who is gay wants to sign papers and get married somewhere else then why not? America can't deny rights to gays in the hopes that they will simply disappear or be "cured."

Marriage has nothing to do with government..It has to do with the couple and there own religion beliefs. The only thing that involves the government is taxes and benefits..I think that America is going to fall apart if we let it become a one religion based country and that is what all the Christians want.. Because there religion is the only way....What ever.

Oh yeah gays should be able to marry....And adopt a baby if they want and all that good stuff.

That's a bunch of bullshit.

Marriage has nothing to do with the bible. Why? People who aren't religious fall in love and get married. Love is not bound by a book of lies.

Sanctioned by whom?

Marriage is a legal contract. It can be recognized by a church or other religious organization, but bottom line, it's a business partnership.

Of course, you realize that website is a satire?

NO!

First clause of the first ammendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

This is just going to be like the Prohibition. The banning of gay marriage is not going to last long, so why waste time and money on it???

i believe in a gay union of some sort, one that would be recognized by insurance company's, adoption agencies, pension plans, social security, and many other things married people have the privilege of. They deserve the right to be miserable too like regular heterosexuals.

Dude, the official White House web page is whitehouse.gov, not whitehouse.org. Stop trying to scam people.

By the way, the current definition of marriage doesn't need to be changed. Those wishing to be married that don't fall into that need some sort of civil union arrangement.
