I have a friend for several years and he told me he has feelings for me. I love him dearly as a friend but nothing more. I just don't see him that way. He made a pass at me and I told him I just don't feel that way and he hasn't called since. What do I do to make things right again. I love him and his mom and daughter. But I see him as a brother. Anyone?

Maybe you should just leave him alone for a while. It might be hard for him to be "just friends" if he doesn't see you that way. Give him his space for a while he just got his heart broken.

That's tough...My girlfriend and I just watched the movie "When Harry met Sally" and the premise of the movie was can a guy and a girl ever really be just "friends"? We both decided that it probably doesn't work out...at least not close friends. You can go ahead and call him and see where he's at with it. But I'm sure he's a little more than "intoxicated" with you and would have a problem with not fulfilling his desires and you being around. If he says he can't go on being friends, leave him and his family alone. It would only get in the way of any future relationships for him and make it hard on the daughter if he finds someone new. One more thing, Have you given any more thought of him romantically? Maybe he dumped a bomb on you, but give it some thought and see how you really feel about it...you never know!

It may sound cruel , but he doesn't get the message & you don't want to lose the friendship/ So approach his sister & go home with her one day & spend a friendly day with your friends & bring it up in front of everyone that you don't want to lose friendships & if he cant handle your openness then his loss. You are a friend to all so this would not be cruel & hopefully he is a well adjusted boy in a well adjusted family & maybe you will learn something too in the way of creating strong , open & honest friendships. And hopefuuly all involved will agree.

Don't you hate when this happens?! Tell him you wish you could feel the same way and you think it would be ridiculous to destroy your friendship because you can't be a couple. But now that he's told you, it will always be awkward and you're friendship may never be the same :(

all you can do is give him time and space and hopefully he will come around. at the moment he is probably annoyed with you cos he thinks that you were sending him the wrong signals. also he feel embarrassed, so he is keeping his distance. just wait a while ok.

Give him time to heal you disapointed him . I know you didn't want to but you did . If he is a true friend he won't be able to stay away for very long . Have you talked to his Mom ?

THERE NOTHING YOU CAN DO, YOU WERE HONEST WITH
HIM AND TOLD HIM THAT YOU DID NOT FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT HIM, AND HE SHOULD RESPECT THAT DECISION
AND FOR CALLING HE WILL AND HE DOES NOT THEN
IT REALLY IS NOT YOUR FAULT. AND IF HE IS A FRIEND
HE WILL UNDERSTAND THAT.
