It is beneficial in cleansing your body. As long as you hydrate yourself well. So that your bowels move everything out. Use organic fruit. Don't plan to do anything that requires great concentration. You will feel lightheaded because you are hungry and because the sugar (fructose) in fruit will give you a quick high, you will feel giddy. Then you will crash again until next sugar high.

There are other ways to cleanse as well. Check online articles.

Plus, you'll pee a lot.

After I had oral surgery, I couldn't eat anything but applesauce and fruit smoothies for a week. Let's just say going to the bathroom wasn't a pleasant experience. If you must go on a fruit fast, eat a banana to combat the effects of the other fruits i.e. sugar shock and diarrhea. I wouldn't say the diet detoxified my body, it caused me to go on food eating binges after I was able to eat meat and grains again. Also, too much sugar is never good for you! If you really want to detoxify your body, eat a balanced diet (not too much of any one of the food groups) and drink a mug of hot tea every day. Green tea, black tea, and oolong tea are all rich in antioxidants. Also, sweat at least 30 min a day and NO junkfood :(

Detoxify it..of what? And after three days of feeling miserable, than what?

If you are that concerned about your health, a 3-day diet is not the answer.
