Very true - for the reasons mentioned above. In addition, if you are running a fever, there is a good possibility that you are a bit dehydrated (most people are - very few people drink enough water). Water and juices are more easily absorbed by the body. And there's the added beneift of vitamin C if you pick good juices.

Sometimes, if you have a fever, milk will sour on your stomach, which in turn will make you very nauseous. Usually water is the best thing to drink when you have a fever. Sugary juices or soft drinks can also make you nauseous. When you have a fever the last thing you need is an upset stomach. :)

You can drink whatever you want when you have a fever...HOWEVER...fever usually upsets your stomach. Milk is a foreign protein to humans and so it doesn't sit well in an upset stomach. Plus since with a fever you are sweating/burning off fluids you need water, water, water. Often ginger containing liquids calm the stomach and provide fluids.
Main thing is to keep hydrated with lots of fluids, soup, jello etc.
Make sure you are peeing about 30ml per hour when you count the last 8 hours. (u dont' have to pee every hour). Fluids keep your kidneys healthy.

True. When u drink milk with a fever, the increase in body temp. can cause the milk to sour in your stomach and may lead to nausea and vomiting.

no you shouldn't drink milk when you run a fever because the milk can curdle on your stomach and cause you to throw up.
