For me I don't like to show it out at first because I think that is a big step to take. I want to show/say i love someone out of sincerity and not just to make the girl happy. Also, some guys think that admitting/showing love would be a sign of weakness too. Therefore, different guys have different reasons for not showing love.

Different guys have different standard in expressing their love to their girlfriends. Some guys are shy and when they love someone they can do minor things to care for the girls. Where the rest of the guys just tell the girls they love her. personally I feel that when you really love someone, you have to love her with sincerity and made her happy at the same time. Well, some guys are afraid that once they show their love to the girl, he might get rejected and get hurt instead so they rather not show their love to the girls they like.

It could be that he is showing his love but only in ways that are different than you are expecting. Or he might be one of those guys that only wants a relationship of convenience with you and doesn't want to appear to be too into you in public.
