I have a 13 year old daughter who has an odor control problem.
I have taught her the correct way to bathe her body and she bathes twice a day. She uses a strong deoderant which does not help at all. The odor is there within 15 to 20 minutes after she showers. This issue is so bad she can't really go out in public places anymore. She is now home schooled because she was being made fun of at school. She is totally humiliated! My other 3 children do not suffer from this....what could be wrong? Is there any medical condition that might cause this? Medications to help?
Please serious answers please. I don't like to see any child suffer especially like this.

This is not just from the arm pits, this is total body odor. She rarely goes outside anymore and does not sweat that much.
It has an acidic burn the nose smell, its awful.
Not your normal "I forgot to wear deoderate" odor at all.

Go to the health food store and buy some liquid chlorophyll and give her 1-2 teaspoons a day. It may take a few weeks but this will get of bad body odor.

First of all you said you have her take a bath twice a day. I am assuming that before this problem it was once a day. You had also said the strongest deodorant there is. I am assuming you have her put it on right after she gets out of the shower. You may think uh! yuk! when I tell you this but give it a try anyway. Have her bathe oncw aday every other day. Allow her body two to three hours to dry before putting on the deodorant. When she puts the deodorant on only put it around the trimming (edge of the arm pit. Have her do this only when she wakes up and before she goes to bed. Some times iy isn't body odor though. It could also be very strong bad breath. If so have her chew on minted floavor gum for ONLY one hour twice a day and brush her teeth in the evening not the mornrng If after two at least two weeks this hasn't helped then you may want see an experienced doctor!

Try to used medicated soap. She must use her own early morning urine while it is warm by applying it on her armpit, neck, and all the possible fold she has on her body. And the rest, she must soak her feet with the left over urine. I have done this procedure before. Because every time I do the household chords, such foul odor appeared. So as to get rid of this smell, I did that procedure the I mentioned above. Then, I applied alum powder. The best one is the Milcum Powder. Although its for athletes' foot, it is also effective for the body by using it as powder. Just in case you don't have this, please let me know and I will send you. I am willing to help her. As this is the voice of experience.
Also she must eat only fruits and vegetables. No to beef, chicken, pork. She must just fried fish only. I hope her problem will be solved with this kind of solution. Don't be shy to write to me. My email address is batibot6@yahoo.com (I hope the Yahoo! Answer will allow us to communicate regarding this matter. Thank you)

This is a medical condition called hyperhidrosis and is excessive perspiration. The odor is the result of bacteria interacting with the uric acid in the body in combination with body chemistry. There are various medical interventions for this condition varying from conservative non-surgical treatment to surgical intervention. Consult your family physician or pediatrician who will make an assessment and the necessary referrals. Best of luck to you and your daughter.

A friend once told me while pregnant, she hated the smell of teenagers. Being a hairdresser, I noticed this too. I think it is just the fluxuation of hormones and they tend to produce more body oils. She will grow out of this. Your best bet for products is anything citrus based. It will help neutralize the oils and the scent. Aim for natural products, like LUSH Slammer body wash or check out the health food stores.

Are you talking about odor from the armpits? If so try potash alum. That would keep the sweating and odor controlled. or check this website: http://www.tawascrystal.com/

is she overweight? in overweight persons, sweat can ferment in folds of skin and cause a TERRIBLE odour. a full body dusting down with a mixture of cornstarch and baking soda might help. i've found, through many trials, that tom's of maine's deodorants (i haven't used their anti perspirants) are simply miraculous in their odour elimination power; you could not wash for weeks, put some under your arms, and be odour free (except for the odour of the spices they use). really. and i don't work for them. hope that helps!
