I love caffiene. On a sleepy day I have close to three cups. Without it I wouldn't be able to get through my day, I will get pretty bad headaches..the only thing besides caffiene that make it go away is sleep..and that is usually not an option. It is definitely not as dangerous as alcohol..at least coffee and tea provide anti-oxidants. And it is a dieretic..which means that the more coffee you drink the more you will go to the bathroom. So people overweight should drink more coffee and tea and less pepsi and coke because soft drinks are SUGAR.

It is hard to say what a limit is, it is addictive. It really depends on the person, my ex used to drink 3 pots of coffee a day. I can barely drink a cup a day. But the addiction is just as difficult to stop as any other thing. I don't drink any soft drinks, my vice is smoking, and water....but anyhow, an addiction is an addiction.......PERIOD!!
If you slowly cut back, if you feel you are drinking too much caffeine then don't go cold turkey.......it's the pits!!!

Caffeine affects different people in different ways. Other people I know can't quit drinking caffeinated soda or coffee because they go through withdrawal (shakes, migraines, evil-gnarly-bitchiness). It doesn't bother me to go cold-turkey with caffeine, though. I *love* Coca-cola. It's practically all I drink (other than water- I do drink water, I don't need to be jumped on about that). But I've gone for months without any kind of caffeinated beverage or food before, and it didn't bother me. I just missed the taste.
That said; hooray for caffeine! I have caffeinated soap. I can't tell that it actually peps me up in any way, but I love the idea of it. ;)

Would not be a bad idea.
I used to be so hooked on Diet Coke, and coffee, that if I missed it, I would get bad headaches. If I go a while without Diet Coke, I almost feel a rush when I first drink it, I know that sounds wierd.
I would say its addictive, but an addiction that can easily be weaned and managed.
