Microsoft has set the final completion date for November of this year but as of yet the latest version still has its bugs. It is highly probable that Microsoft will not be able to meet the November deadline. Windows Vista will be available through retail in January 2007. Right now Microsoft has posted RC1 up for its MSDN and TechNet users to download and evaluate. The system specifications for Vista are high and one should make sure they meet them (See minimum system requirements here on the Vista homepage: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsvista/evaluate/hardware/vistarpc.mspx)
