Try zillow.com. Enter your street address and zip code. It produces unbelievable satellite images of your immediate neighborhood. Click your left mouse button anywhere in the image, hold the button down while moving your mouse and you can see adjacent areas. Steet names are even included.

The main purpose of this website is to calculate how much your property is worth, so you may get sidetracked looking up addresses of everyone you know.

http://www.intelius.com/
This site has a fee that can be charged to your card.
You can view a sample of the photos (if you're questioning the quality)
there as well as the type of info that will be included in your search.
It's scary how much they can find out about you!
Be aware that the person you are searching for WILL NOT be notified; however, they may find out indirectly.

Also, you should be asking for an aerial photo, not a scan from a satellite

Google Earth. It will all depend if you live in an area where it is high-resolution or not. Usually most big cities will have good quality images.
