wat do u think of having a mini schnauzer, its good and bad points?

These are very high-energy dogs, prone to be slightly aggressive and dominant. They also can be difficult to train as they are very stubborn in nature..In my experience they need a very firm training regimen and very frequent grooming appointments...They are not recommended for a family pet with kids as they tend to become snappy if bothered..Although, as with any dog I'm sure they're are some sweet ones out there. Why not check out the shelters instead and get a schnauzer mix? It would most likely be healthier in the long run and not plagued by the heart problems, etc. that small pure-bred dogs are..

Mini Schnauzers are very intelligent, active, sweet dogs.
About the worst thing I can say for them is that they are a very strange mix of heritage and that can lead to serious health problems across the board.
They also are known for having weak hearts, so take care not to overstress the dog.

The love of my life was my precious mini schnauzer. She was filled with energy,intelligence and barks. If my heart could take it, I would be a mommy again,but I can not go through the pain of death,again. It was necessary to "let her go peacefully" about a month before my dear Mom died. I still grieve.

Well I have one and i love her she is named lilly and she is 3 years old! She has the cutest personality! and she is very loving and protective! the only drawback to her is that she was hard to train! it took a lot of time and paitence! and she barks quite a bit but not more than my mini weenie dog does! and she has to be groomed every 6 weeks or her hair becomes a real mess! but all in all they are pretty good dogs at least in my opionion!

Great dogs. Mine was the fastest ever to house break. Very intelligent and protective. Plus they look really kool with their schnauzer haircut!

schnauzers are super cute! any dog can have good and bad points, so make sure you pick a dog with a great personality. that's all that really matters.

I 've had three of them and they are good dogs. They make good watch dogs and are good with kids if raised with them. As they get older they don't seem to have much patience with small children and will snap at them if aggravated. Bad thing is they need grooming about every 6 weeks and that will cost at least 40 dollars.

i like the mini pincher alot ive had 2 of them and they are very smart and very loyal, only problem with small dogs is they are attached to people and if they dont have a friend they will be sad when you leave them alone

Pluses: Intelligent, friendly, good size, non-shedding.
Minuses: Barky, prone to certain diseases (i.e. pancreatitis), require regular grooming (every 4-6 weeks). Did I mention they're barky?
But I wouldn't trade ours for anything. =)
