And how do you know whether they liked you or just treat you as buddy?
There's this guy I liked for since a few years ago. Sometimes, he would keep messaging me everyday, showering me with attention and even when he comes back from aboard, I was the only one getting present from him. Even when we are meeting out as a group, he would always ask me whether I am going first. And he just loved teasing me whenever he can. (Is it true guys always tease the girl he like?) Anyway, other times he would ignore me like i don't exist.

I won't be able to do anything if he's ignoring me. Anyway, I think he likes someone else. Sometimes I think maybe I am reading too much into his actions when he only meant it as a friendly gesture.

Rejection is what we fear the most, some times we want to know how good the connection is, and sometimes you women, do no respond to our attentions, so we keep trying to see, if you look at us the same way we look at you, and sometimes we pref fer something than nothing, we pref fer to be a "friend" so at least we'll be around, and if we tell you how we feel the moment we feel it, maybe you will reject us, because that was not a good moment to tell you, what a dedicated guy do is to tell you with no words how much you meant to him, if you want him to tell you how he feels, without being very obvious, encourage him with the same flirting, we are not difficult to understand, we just don't want to be rejected!!!

Guys are often hard to understand because they mature slower than girls which means that they have less self confidence in relationships and communicating and less direction in life and especially in matters of the heart.
Guys teasing, if thats what he is doing, can be badness or it can be a showing of his lack of confidence looking for a comforting response to him from you. Difficult to know which without talking about it with him to learn his perspective.
You might be reading too much into his actions, as we tend to when we have deep feelings about someone, so don't think too bad of him or be hurt by what seems like thoughtlessness to you.
However his true feelings for you won't be known to you, and perhaps to him also, unless you both talk openly about it and then you confirm his words by his future actions.

I suggest that you should asked him so that you are not being puzzled by his action. I believed that what he do previously is just to attract your attention and giving you some hints that he wanted you to be his gf but it seems to him all effort are gone to waste. However, you mentioned that you think he had somebody else in his mind, I suggest that you have to check out with his friends if it is the truth. if it is a false alarm , then it is better to sort out things rather you regret later for letting go someone whom you liked so much.All the best to you

I think a guy would rarely do such thing unless he likes you. Some guys tease a woman when they are confident of being around her. Maybe he likes you but you are giving him the wrong signals. Try to flirt a bit :P.

maybe he is waiting for you to give him a clue?

Do you phone him?
Get him gifts?
Maybe its one sided and he's starting to feel like a lemon.
Tell him how you feel and he might have the same feelings for you too.
