Designing the motor: Electrical engineer
Designing the control system for the motor: Instrumentation Engineer
Designing the bearings / cooling and physical aspects : Mechanical engineer
Creating better conductors / magnets etc: Metallurgical / chemical engineer
Making the motor: Manufacturing Engineer
