I started to read the Bible just a little ea day & some days I missed but I finished the 2nd gospel. I read what our Lord God Jesus said the 2nd commandment of God was. Well it of course doens't just apply to our neighbors but it applies to our fellow man in general. One of my comments to one of my ?'s was "why would I care what you all say since I don't know you". Well the thing is you all are my brothers & my sisters. I must do my best to love all of you in order for me to make it into the Kingdom of Heaven at the end of the age. People that choose not to believe if they would look at the Bible, God's words/commandments and our Lord Jesus Christ teachings they would see how it really does all fit together; how it really does all make sense. Christianity has been twisted around throughout the centuries & still today by people who don't understand the weightier (a word Jesus used) issues meaning whats in your heart & how you treat your fellow man is what matters the most.

Was there an actual question in there somewhere? Seems to me you asked a question in the subject line and then answered it in the details. Did you really want to ask something or just preach?

There are actually three versions of the Ten Commandments, Jewish, Catholic (and Lutheran), and Protestant taken from Exodus Chapter 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy Chapter 5:6-21.

With the new revelations of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in the early Catholic Church, a slightly different emphasis was placed on different commandments.

Then 1500 years later, the Protestant in objecting to certain Catholic practices, once again changed the emphasis of the Ten Commandments.

+ Jewish Ten Commandments (before 1000 BC)

1. I am the Lord your G-d who has taken you out of the land of Egypt.
2. You shall have no other gods but me.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your G-d in vain.
4. You shall remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy.
5. Honor you mother and father.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness.
10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

3. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; in it, you shall not do any work.

Why, would I need the Bible, a book full of myth's and legends, to tell me to treat my fellow humans, like I would like to be treated. BTW, this thought is hardly original to Jesus. If you spent just a little time reading outside this work of pure fiction, you would know this.

this is the 2nd commandment "Do not make for yourselves images of anything in heaven or on earth or in the water under the earth. Do not bow down to any idol or worship it, because I am the LORD your God and I tolerate no rivals. I bring punishment on those who hate me and on their descendants down to the third and fourth generation. But I show my love to thousands of generations of those who love me and obey my laws.
