You don't. Believe me, no matter what kind of feelings your friend has for this guy, it's not worth it. If he can't decide between the two of them, he clearly doesn't love her enough to be with her. Naturally, he is going to want her to "wait and see what happens." Which means, "I get the best of both world until one of the girls decides to bail." Tell your friend she deserves better.

I assume he is not married to the 'live-in'. He is untrustworthy and won't commit to anyone. He has probably cheated on her for yrs. and would do the same to you. Probably is doing it right now. Why would you want someone like that?

I wouldn't put up with it. I would leave and find someone who doesn't have baggage or a jealous live-in partner.

you don't handle it you idiot you leave the guy alone. you are a booty call and nothing more. if this guy loved you he would be with you. he loves his girlfriend. that is why he is with her and not you. how pathetic do you have to be to willing become a booty call and then whinge about being it?

Knowing the guy loves you too is not enough. He should love you and you only. I think she should look for another guy.

You don't handle it, you tell him if he wants to be with you then he needs to be with only you.

Its better to be the last one (the one that he ends with) than the first one! (the first one to be dumped)

DON'T SELL YOUR SELF SHORT. I DON'T THINK I WOULD LIKE TO BE THE OTHER WOMAN. HE NEEDS TO MAKE UP HIS MIND ON WHAT HE WANTS TO DO. GOD BLESS
