I've heard it said that Satan is responsible for all the "less than positive" things that happen here on earth. (Violence, negativity, etc) If that be the case, why would God send to Hell those persons who could not escape Satan's hold through no fault of their own? If He is a merciful God, wouldn't it stand to reason that He would have mercy on ALL OF US and accept us all to Heaven whether or not we believed in Him?

Mankind is the one who does all the things you've described in your question. Whether you believe in God or Not.

But, lets say that you do believe in God (I do not want to assume either way out of respect for your own personal beliefs) Yes, God is said to be the Judge of our souls where we will be sent ot either Heaven or Hell, but it's OUR OWN actions which will decide the fate of our souls. For we can not perform ANY action be it love or hate, unless we ourselves decide upon that action.

We are solely responsible for our actions. Believers and non-believers know this, in fact even science knows this, so this can not be refuted.

Wheter you believe in God or not, you still have the capacity to know the difference between right and wrong. It's your choice.

So, God is merciful, but also Just. God will send you to wherever your heart has chosen by YOU, according to your actions. We send oursleves to Heaven or Hell.

Well, I have often wondered if the reason people die when they die is so God gives them a chance to be saved. Just think about it. Sometimes children die so young, yet, someone can live to be 115 years old. Perhaps God knows that child may later on in life fall into sin, and He wants to take them when they are saved, and maybe that person needs 115 years to BE saved. God has mercy in that respect, I believe.

I also know that in this world we are becoming TOO accepting of sin! We are all so blind to what sin is because, as my dad said, we don't read enough of the Bible to know what is sin. It says in the Bible to put on the whole armour of God so that ye may be able to withstand the wiles of the devil. Part of that is reading the scripture everyday.

But the one thing you said, I disagree with. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." If you choose not to believe in Him, then you are going against that. You can't choose to not believe in Him so you can live your life the way you want to. It doesn't work that way. In high school one time, this girl said, "I know that He's there for me, but I'm not ready to accept him." She wanted to have sex and do whatever else without the guilt.

So yeah, we can't give into temptation. I know we all do at times, but we've got to read the Bible to know what is wrong so we can fight against it! Here's a scripture that I have as my messenger quote, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." Proverbs 14:12. To me, this is what the world is like today. Being homosexual or something may seem right to a man in these days, but it is not right, in fact, it is an abomination in the sight of God (yes, that is in the Bible), but since everyone is so accepting, it is becoming more and more of an issue, and sadly, it leads to death. Not an earthly dead, but a spiritual death.

So yeah, God has mercy, but you've got to give him room to give you mercy. You need to believe in him, read the Bible everyday, and pray everyday. I find Him very pleasant to talk to about my problems in life. Some things I can't talk about with my parents or something, but I know He listens. :)

We can only put our trust in God that he will be there for us. Only He knows what will happen after we die, and I'm sure he loves us all. I personally don't think God made Hell, I think it is a place people choose to go (hopefully rarely) by choosing evil over what is truly good in the world, yet God is always there to help pick us up again, whichever way that may be.

He is merciful and will judge each and every person accordingly... To tell you the truth about... You should just ask him. If you have accepted Jesus and his sacrifice of giving you the holy spirit you'll hear God when he answers your questions. I had the same similar questions and the Lord lead me through the bible and now I understand how merciful he is. Just pray about and ask him.

God will not allow satan to tempt a person more than they can withstand. So then it is their fault that they allowed satan to come into their lives and do wrong.

God knows our hearts to the core, and I am sure He knows who is good and bad. Like I said in another answer.... God loves us all. As our Father he wants us to do what is best for US and rewards us with blessings and heaven. Just as parents do with thier children.

Don't blame the evils that people do on some imaginary creature. These people need to take full responsibility for the bad things they do.

I believe Satan tempts others to make wrong decisions. It is up to us to ignore his temptation.
