My hair is naturally curly and has been quite damaged by due to straightening it so often. I've stopped doing that and cutting out on as much heat styling as possible. I was wondering though if there is a product that can be used to reduce dryness, frizziness and rebelliousness and make it smoother. A product that can be used in between shampoos. Also, I usually do straighten my bangs if i tie my hair. they look alright, but once i step outside they start to curl. ive tried using pomade but no luck. plus, theres always flyaways. any tips?

John Frieda's Frizzease.
The whole product line is fantastic. I can't say enough about it. I sound like a commercial, but it works like a charm. Get it at Target, it's not expensive either.
"Refresh" conditioner is gold. Pure gold, baby!! "Downplay" is also wonderful, cuts puffiness and flyaways like a machete in the rainforest. I never leave home without "Secret Weapon" in my purse. You put it on your dry hair during the day when you need a touchup. That is my hair trinity. Seriously.
I used to use the Frizzease extra strength serum, which works great, but "Downplay" is way better. And shine, baby shine!! My hair has never been so shiny!!
They have a whole range of mousse, gel and hairspray. All are great. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is the "colored" products. The ones that inhance your natural colors, they don't cut frizz, not that they claim to, but that is my problem area.
I am a fan, you might have noticed. Try it, you will be amazed!!

This should help you out:
It seems that if we have straight hair, we want curly. If we have curly, we want it straight. Growing up in the seventies, we did everything we could to straighten our hair, even if it meant using the iron! Today, I am presenting you with an easier way to straighten your curls.
* Wash and condition hair.
* Blot dry. Hair should be almost dry when you begin.
* Gather up hair into several sections and secure or clip hair on top of your head. You will be drying the bottom layers first.
* Follow the brush (with your dryer) down the sections of hair as you straighten each section and be sure to keep the dryer moving.
* Take down a new section of hair and proceed as directed above.
* Work your way up the layers until all sections are dry and straightened.
* To curl the ends for a polished look, take your brush and pull the ends under. Finish your styling with a blast of cool air if your hairdryer has this capability.

Your hair sounds a lot like mine. I se anti-frizz serum and dry ends serum. I used to use the smoothing balm, but finally decided to go natural and let my curls loose.
And you gussed it, It's all Avon.

use aerosol hairspray on your bangs before you Straiten them and nothing after or just more hairspray...it will lock out moisture...as for frizz...you need to use a good smoothing serum, like biologe, or just use mousse or gel to keep it curly...there is nothing that will repair the damage though...you will just have to let it grow out

you should scrape the grease out of your frying pan and pour it in your shampoo. or just dip your comb in a frying pan full of grease. the best is crisco. good luck!
