whats your definion of a pimp

A pimp is a person who takes a share of the money from a prostitute to provide protection for that prostitute from the harm that a john (customer) may do to him/her.

As to my opinion of prostitutes, I believe that it does far more harm to the prostitute than it does to society as a whole, much like stripping. I've just seen the self-esteem problems, the drug and alcohol problems, etc. that follow these professions.

prostition is the oldest profession known to man. Most girls start due to dire circumsatances, no work, no food, no way to support children or for a drug addition. There are skanky prostitutes and "paid call girls" although legal in some states the wording makes it ok to sell sex for money. Still prostitution.
A pimp is someone who solicits these girls for profit. He gets a cut of their money or supplies them with drugs as payment. No matter what it is a sad situation for those girls who want to get out and can't. Once a prostitue can no longer earn her keep, a pimp will discard her and by that time she is usually so addicted there is no turning back, many of these girls commit suicide by overdose or the pimp himself does it to her and gets away with it.

a prostitute is very helpful if you don't like to go out to find a one night stand and if you are willing to pay money. A few women actually enjoy their profession. So what ever floats their boat, I would say. A pimp is a guy or sometimes even a woman, who is collecting percentage from the money the hooker is making and provide security.

My husband took me on a ride through a red light district once because I was curious. Before then I had just despised them as pure trash. But, when I saw them, some so young with run over shoes and looking so unhealthy I felt compassion and sadness. They were little girls once and life had dealt most of them a bad hand. I wish I could have helped them but, it's not a perfect society. My definition of a pimp is - a parasite.

I think it is a disgrace that a person has to resort to that. There are the people who do it for drugs who are wrong because they risk getting others sick as well. Then there are the one's who are educated and just do it for fast $$. How sad that a person can be so materialistic or just crave that sort of attention. Please people have some dignity and earn a real living. Pimp: keeper of slaves, b-- slaps woman keeps them working and takes their $$. Again no dignity.

prostitution is a form of slavery,so that would make the pimp a massa think about it the women get just enough to live on and have to ask for that, their pimp beats them,and they have to work long hours. slavery is alive and well in the21st century

I don't like either. The prostitute spreads AIDS and other diseases. The pimp is the manger of the diseases spreading operation. It is so sad. I wish people could control themselves and protect our future.
