Lay in bed on your back with your hands comfortably on your belly. Place a rolled up towel under your knees so they are just elevated enough to take the tension off your spine. Support your elbows with something if your upper arms and shoulders have any tension on them from having your hands on your belly. Your room should be in complete silence, with very little or no light. the temperature in your room should be pleasant also.
Next close your eyes and think of what it is your most worried or troubled thought right now. Using your imagination I want you to take the first worry or concern and in your mind blow a soap bubble and fill it with that thought. Now just let that bubble float. Picture it floating in your mind or in a beautiful place like a garden or above a beautiful sea shore. while that bubble is off floating around think of the next thing on your mind that is troubling you or that pops into your mind. Now blow another bubble and fill it also with that thought. Let this second bubble drift off with the first one. Take time to enhance the picture in your mind each time you do this. Admire the beautiful colors the bubbles have as they float around near by. Capture three more thoughts like this until you have a total of five bubbles floating around.
Admire the beauty you have created, and notice how gracefully the bubbles float around.
Next take a deep breath, fill your lungs to the top and gently exhale at one of five bubbles. Just as your about to run out of air, imagine the bubble your blowing at bursts. Now do the same thing to the remaining four bubbles. After every bubble is popped, imagine yourself in this beautiful place laying down, you can feel a slight breeze caress your body, the air is sweet and clean like after a summer rain. Now imagine you have the power to bring the sun in closer to you, as the sun moves closer it's warmth loosens all your muscles, you bring it to the top of your head and feel it's rays melting all the tension from the top of your head, as the sun slowly moves down over your face you feel it relaxing all your face muscles. One by one, as the light moves down your body visualize each muscle group becoming relaxed. when it reaches your feet let it drift up and relax each muscle again as it moves up a little faster this time. When it reaches the top of your head it starts down again only a little faster. let it go a little faster each time until each pass over your body takes about one second. Try to visualize it now as it pulses up, down, up, down, and with each pass your more relaxed. Now let go on auto pilot. You don't have to make it move. Just watch it in your mind as it goes form head to toe every second. as you relax even more you start to drift, letting go, floating off into deep deep sleep.

A glass of nutmeg can help you get some sleep. I've been running on 6-8 hours sleep every night for the past 10 years though and I've done ok in life. If you feel you have a serious sleeping disorder though, contact your doctor. They can give you something like Ambien which is a prescription drug to help you sleep. Sweet dreams.

I had a really bad case of insomnia the other night, fell asleep at midnight woke up at 4, the only thing that got me to sleep was a beer. I recomend nocking back a couple at a slow leisurely pace, and then drifting off to dream land. Valarien (check spelling) root is suposed to work also.

You won't get any sleep worrying about it.

Simple relaxation strategies can help you fall asleep easily. Try some breathing exercises such as these: Take in a deep breath while counting one one-thousand, two one-thousand, three one-thousand, four one-thousand. Exhale while counting to one one-thousand, two one-thousand, three one-thousand, four one-thousand. Continually do this until you fall asleep. This slow, steady breathing pattern will relax your body allowing you to fall easily asleep.

Read a boring book. I suggest asking your parents for one or a school textbook.
