I think not all men are stinky.I knew sometimes a woman was stinky too.Due to my experience,unpleasant smell of someone body is caused by:
1)something that has been eaten which is bad smell such as edible stinking beans or jengkol fruits
2)some teeth have holes and infected or his/her gum is swollen
3)poor digestion
So someone who did not eat bad smell foods but he/she is still stinky,he/she should call for a doctor.

Well, just because most are. Tell him to get his butt off the couch/recliner or out of the garage/backyard and in the shower!
There are better things to do rather than videogames/TV/talking about work with buddies. Go mini-golfing!

He could have a problem with hygeine, in which case, I suggest you have a quiet word and just say
"Darling, if you don't shower regularly from now on, you will need to catch up on your cooking skills, and also get used to sleeping in the spare room"
An alternative is to refuse to go out anywhere with him. In other words, dear, tell him to get his act together because he is embarrassing.

How exactly does he stink? Daily washing is essential. If armpits, Old Spice works great. If breath, brush frequetly. B.O. smells absorb under arms of shirts, and warm up and stink when shirt is worn, even after you wash it. you need to rub a paste of baking soda and water under arms. or add febreze for laundry to your washing. good luck!
