I've been friends with this girl for about a year now, and i've fallen in love with her. But I'm afraid to tell her and possibly ruin a good relationship, since I'm not sure if she just wants to be friends. So... 1. How can I tell if she wants to be more than just friends and 2.What's the best way to tell her how I feel?

I've got some bad news for you. Rarely are two people 'just friends', normally one likes the other much more, and normally that other person already suspects it but doesn't let on because they just like you as a friend.

You can tell her how you feel, but she will turn you down.

There is... however... another way. If you can act in a way that you see her as just a friend, she will think that she was wrong that you had a crush on her and she will start liking you. This sounds stupid, but really, it's true. Start talking to her like she's a friend, tell her you want to try some flirting moves on her so you can try them on a girl you like, and flirt with her. Then tell her "I'm glad we're just friends." ... do this for a little while, and she will be confessing to you she likes you.

ask her out on a date and make it known that it is a date before you go. That way she can let you know if she wants to take the relationship to the next level.

It is best to be open and tell her how you feel. Let her decide what she wants next.

Ask her how she feels about you. Then wait, most likely she will ask you the same and when she does, be honest and then the ball is in her court.
