I know what you mean, feet are the most strained and worked out parts, here are some tips and home remedies:

*Massing the feet each night with oil makes them soft and also increases the blood circulation to them.
*Don't wear tight shoes or socks alway wear comfortable ones. Papaya juice is a good remedy for corns.
*Apply glycerine on the feet to make them soft.
*Don't walk barefoot or give too much exposure of bare feet to the sun, wind or water because it may cause cracks on the heels and soles.
*Take three tablespoons of honey, mix it with one teaspoonful sesame oil and warm it alittle and apply on the feet to cure dryness and cracks.

You may have a type of athletes foot, the very best cream is Lamisil, is approx. $12.00 to $14.00 for the small tube but you will notice the difference right away. Especially when you rub in into your feet your feet feel replenished, not suffocated by Vaseline type ointments. Try using a pumas stone made for your feet to loosen up some calloused areas but not too much as once, can cause painful areas if over exfoliated. Definitely worth the money!!!

I have this same problem because I lived in the dessert for 3 months. I have been helping my feet heal by putting on large amounts of vaseline on them about twice daily. After applying vaseline, put on a pair of thick cotton socks. By wearing the socks during the day, the vaseline will soak deeply into your skin which softens it. Then in the shower, use both a foot scrub and a pumice stone on your feet to get rid of any dead skin. Be sure to moisturize using vaseline or another thick lotion after showering because after showering is the time when the pores open up the most.

You should see a podiatrist. There needs to be a determination made as there is a difference between tinea pedis (athlete's foot) or xerosis (dry, callused skin). Over the counter lotions can help for the dry feet as can the athlete's foot creams if that is what it is. Sometimes, though, long standing athlete's foot can be treated well with a short course of an oral prescription anti-fungal. I have seen these oral anti-fungals work on things that even the prescription creams can't touch.

First wash feet in warm water--use mild soap and a hand towel to take off dead skin. Then you can use some lotion and rub it all over your feet (but not between the toes!). Then, put on some cotton socks right away and wear them overnight. This helps keep the moisture in. And instead of using just lotion, you can even use a specialized foot cream--I prefer Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme. it is made of all natural ingredients such as peppermint, olive oil, oat protein, and coconut oil. Hope this helps :)

i get really bad feet from walking around barefoot all the time. take some vaseline, smear it all over your heels, then cover with socks. wear to bed or put on shoes and go to work. after 8 hours your feet will be much softer, and you can also pumice them after if they need it
