Apparently the problem is in your subconscious while you sleep and you awaken to the memory. You need to resolve this problem to get rid of the misery.

I don't know but when you go to an MD regarding depression, they ask you if you wake up feeling this way or if it gets worse as you go thru the day. I couldn't help thinking about that while I was reading your post. It must tell the MD something if you wake up that way, so why don't you see one?

You maybe you are reliving it over in your sleep. See someone for counseling if it lasts longer than a couple of weeks. You are depressed but if a normal event it should fade.

Usually sleep helps depression, sort of like hitting the reset button on your brain chemicals. However, yours seem to be making you worse. I would seek medical help immediately. Good luck!
