Waste? Waste is $100billion on a city that is still under sea level, is sinking every year& in a hurricane zone. If you would get off you political soap box, you would see lots has been acompilshed. The people have a chance to make a new nation they did not have 3 years ago. The military threat to the other Gulf states has been eliminated. A democracy in sea of dicataorships and monarchies has bloomed. Nations such as libya have changed course due to our resolve to use force and not run. The lesson of Lebanon in 1983 & Somolia in 1993 was that Americans are scared of blood. Hurt them & they will run away. That signal weakness that led our enemies to become emboldened. Thus Kohbar towers, The WTC, The Embassy bombings, The Cole.... the enemy cannot beat us is a fight. That is why the IED is the weapon of choice. As of late, it is the Iraqi people who are the targets of choice. We waste far more on stuff here, than in Iraq by far. Like the Big Dig in Boston.

From my point of view, the Bush Administration is still in control as well as a 'Lame Duck' Republican Congress that feels they are on the right track and they are not going to change.
If there is a shift in control of Congress in the November elections I bet the troops will come home and the 90 Billion will soon dry up.

Try asking that of the service men and women over there or better yet...ask that of the family and friends who are proud of the sons, daughters, husbands, wives, sisters. brothers, etc. having given the last full measure.
