About a year ago, I was getting over a really bad breakup and I met this guy at a bar. He was really cute, but he was only 22years old. I was 29. He kept trying, and trying to get together with me, but I felt like he was too young for me so I wasn't willing to give it a chance. Finally, after months of chasing me, I gave in because he was so sweet, we had developed a really good friendship. Besides, for a 22 year old, he rarly ever went out. which I thought that was what he was all about being I met him at a bar. Well, it is a year later and I am 8 months pregnant and we are getting married. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We are deeply in love and very much in touch with eachother. Ya gotta be on the same page with your significant other and when the age has that far of a gap between it, it is rare to find that page. We found it. Who knows, you might too. (Or whoever you are asking this for.) Good luck!

Yes I do think it's a big age difference for their ages. Now, if it were a 30 year old woman with a 43 year old man, it would be a bit different. At 20, the woman is still immature and has some emotional/mental growing up to do. At 33, the man is at his prime, or at least should be. If the woman is 30, she is fully mature or at least should be. The man is still young and is even more settled at 43, or at least should be.

well were i am in my life now i feel the need to be with a man that is more mature. But thinking back to wheni was 20 ( im 23 now) all i wanted to do was drink and party. So i dont think that any other 20 year old girl is much different. Ither hes not very mature (and by that age probuby never will) or hes just a perve trying to relive his glorie days and just got dumped by his wife.

I thought the unspoken rule was half your age and add seven.

33 / 2 = 16.5 + 7 = 23.5

However, it could be the other way around.

33-7 = 26 x 2 = 52

My grandfather was 42 and my grandmother was 18 when they got married and she was pregnant at the time (early 1940's). They were very much in love and were married until he died of old age.

I was the 20 year od with a 31 1/2 year old and the relationship was good and to this day we are the bestest of friends. We only broke up because of the differences in location with our military careers. GL!

Age is only a number. My husband is 7 years older than me, and we've been married 10 years. My good friend is 33, her husband is 52. They have a great marriage. If they are truely in love, then age shouldn't be an issue.

According to the United States anyone above the age of 18 can date whom ever they please no matter what the age diffrence. However if thought about what if the girl was 3 years younger then it would be illegal since he would be way above 18. I dont know but I do know that I am interested in a man that is 12 years older than me.

I never date women my age and I'm 44. I think it's more about maturity and what a person wants out of a relationship. I date younger women for 2 main reasons #1 I''m not looking for marriage. and #2 a lot of women my age have gotten bitter for whatever reason and I don't want to deal with the bs.
