hi guys,
i have been christian all of my life. i go by king james or niv., but lately ive felt the desire to search further. i met someone who goes by qur_an. i like alot of what it says too. main difference is that quran doesnt believe that jesus is gods son, but another messenger. (many in old testament were also refered to as sons of god.) we are all sons & daughters of god(so to speak).
our bible (kjv) does have many inconsistancys.
look also at how god is made to look like in exodus...he sends moses and aaron to set ppl free, but them even magicians can duplicate what moses does(stick into snake, water into blood), all except gnats etc. and why would god harden pharohs heart if he sent moses on this mission? alot seems like man has got off track. jesus called himself servant of god , he never claimed to be god either. but i do believe that he was here, died for us and all of that. iam looking for something that combines gods word.
i know god is real, i feel him. other????

Don't surrender your faith in Jesus Christ for some guy. Jesus will be God and there for your long after the guy will. If you really care for someone then get to know Jesus better so that you can have something real to contribute to the relationship.

Although I usually never mention the problems with the Islamic Faith here out of sensitivity to the many faiths represented here in "Answers". I must tell you that if you reject Jesus as true God you are falling into a grave heresy and are in danger of your very soul!! Please please do not reject Jesus for who he really is.

Despite the vociferous denials about a religion that combines the teachings of Christianity and Islam, the Baha'i faith, which sprang out if Islam during the 19th century, is based entirely on the unity of religions. You can read about it on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baha%27i

Baha'i has about 6 million members, most of them in Muslim countries.

what do you mean by combine christian and quran....??

christian is not a religion.. Christian is the one who follow Christ....

Who follows Christ today ????

The fact is that Jesus preached to believe in one God. Jesus worshipped one True God. Jesus prayed to God( he even fell on his face and prostrated, bible - Matthew 26:39). Jesus preached ten commandments which are found in the teachings of Islam also. Jesus prohibited pork, wine, blood, dead meat or any food on which any name besides God has been taken. Jesus prohibited adultery, fornication. Jesus used to fast for more than a month, Muslims do fast too continously for 30 days in the month of Ramadan. Jesus practiced circumcision (bible - Luke 2:21), Jesus greeted by saying "peace be on you" (Luke 24:36) same as muslims greet i.e. Assalamoalikum means peace be on you, and last but not least, he prohibits Shirk i.e. Associating partners with God almighty (bible Mark 12:29). The teachings of Christianity was never taught by Jesus. Jesus never said that "he is God". Jesus never said that he came to die for the sins of the world. what Jesus preached,, i mentioned above..So all these teachings are part of Islam. So Jesus was a muslim.

and Muslims are the one who are following christ.... so islam is the religion which combines Christian with muslim....infact they both mean the same thing...

Quran is the last and final revelation,, which teaches the religion of Jesus... a.s.

and why do you need any other religion than the religion of jesus a.s. ????

My Christian brethren says that nowhere Jesus mentioned the word Allah, Nowhere did he mentioned the word Islam. My response to that is very simple and straightforward. They have to consider the 'fact' not the 'word'. 'Islam' and 'Allah' are Arabic words. Jesus pbuh did not spoke Arabic. If for the sake of argument, we are considering just words only, then in this case Christians are themselves spreading Islam when they say that "Jesus came to spread peace on earth". If you translate the word 'Peace' into Arabic, It becomes 'Islam'. So now the statement would be "Jesus came to spread Islam on earth". I hope you get my point.

Jesus spoke Aramaic. In aramaic language,

ALAAHAA - - - - God

Nope--they CONTRADICT each other.

The Q calls Jesus a CHEAT who had a substitute die for HIM on the Cross.

With this BLASPHEMY all synchronization becomes impossible.
