I believe Jesus was misunderstood. I don't believe it was ever his intent for Christianity to have evolved into what it is today. As for those doubting his existence, there is historical evidence that Jesus did in fact exist. The question is whether or not he was actually the son of God. I do not think he was literally the son of God.

You left out the correct choice... myth. Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus never existed... that he was, in fact, entirely fictional.

Jesus was the one story that caught on and spread...was he real ..could be.. but chances are his work was greatly exagerated..you have to figure that once in a while a story becomes larger than life and then becomes a legend, and because of those backward times that is probably what happened, and it gave people somthing to believe in

You have to use the process of elimination. 1. ) Q. Was He a lunatic? A. The Bible plainly claims and affirms that He had all knowledge and knew everything, so this is wrong.
2.) Q. Was He a liar? A. The Bible says that Jesus could not lie, so this is not right.
3.) Q. Was He Lord? A. Well, it is the only possible answer left, so............................................................

The Holy Trinity - what a hot topic these days. It is encouraging for me to see so many other Christians agreeing with me these days. For those who want to contemplate the Holy Trinity, here is what you need to see my point of view:

Pay careful attention to what Jesus called himself and what Jesus said about Himself (1) "before glorification" compared to (2) "after glorification."

Before glorification is all throughout the four gopels as the "Son of God" and the "Son of Man" or the "Word become flesh" (the truth apart from the good). Jesus said that "only God is good" at this point.

After glorification is all throughout Revelation as Jesus being in the midst of the churches, Jesus having all power on heaven and earth, Jesus having the keys to hell and death, jesus being the Lord of lords and King of kings, Jesus being alive for ages and ages, etc.

As Revelation is the primary "post-glorification book" in the Bible, you can see the truth of the following statement:

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

Not multiple persons, personalities or bodies does our God (or Jesus) have.

If you ask for a fact, it can't be answered truthfully for not everyone believes he exists. If you ask for my opinion, it would be: He is simply someone that people admire. I am not religious so I do not understand him completely. To me, he is just someone named Jesus and he is just there. That is who he is to me because I am not religious so don't take offense.

Ancient myth. Greek myths mingled with Jewish culture. Jesus was to some jews as uncle Sam is to some americans.

slaughter of innocence derived straight from the book of exodus
Jesus represents the passover lamb
Baptism in water = pass through the red sea
Jesus crucifiction meant to be the end of the old Jewish system
The temple is 'his' body
Gospel of Mark has no resurection just an empty tomb
EDIT:
I have checked the links. And read Josh Mcdowells Books and many other christian arguements including Mike Licona Gary somthing, J P holding, Glenn Miller, and use to be a strong believer.
Now check out what the other people say.
