Love is an unselfish concern that freely accepts another in loyalty and seeks his/her own good.
I think you'll find this definition applies in all cases.
True love exists if and only if two people succesfully commit to it. That means if either breaks the code it has failed and is not true love. Committment is what makes a relationship work. Love is being committed to a person and their own good, whether they may or may not be aware or capable of seeing it themselves. In the end it's about WHO you CHOOSE to love and whether or not you as an individual are capable of HONORING the commitment outlined in the definition or whether you will act out of your own self interest.
This is of course easier if you have your own identity and know who you are and the same can be said of the other person. Teenagers most often "fall in love" because everything is new to them. The feelins as well as the physical contact. See how many times you "fall in love" over three years when you don't chase the first or second person you think you have feelings for. See how much your identity changes in three years when it doesn't revolve around someone else.
Relationships come and go until you commit to them and make them last. From that point on it's up to the individual's involved, whether they are 18 or 80.

Love has several meanings I'm not sure how many but here are a few God's love towards man, mans love for his wife, man's love for God, the God kind of love that get's shed abroad in our hearts by the holy Ghost, man's love for the brethern, man's love for himself, The description of the God kind of love is in 1st Corinthians 13. Do yourself a favor and read that chapter 2 times a day for 2 years and you will surly know what it means, first Get Saved or it will never make since.
