There are a couple of different websites. One I know of right off the bat is www.petsitters.org. This is the website for "NAPPS", the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. As soon as I find out more I will post it here for you. I am a petsitter in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

I don't believe there is a particular site to find this out, as I've tried massive searches to find sitting/doggy daycare for out of town, when dogs are with me, but I'd like to sightsee. The phone book is how I found this. I called a long list and found first, that I didn't plan far enough ahead, so had to choose from those who were available. Many of those do have websites. Ultimately, my best experience was hiring a great neighbor kid at my first house to come to my house and since moving, my friend works near my home, so she does it for free for short period and I pay her for longer or holiday times, as I don't want to abuse a friendship!

Holiday Barn is good boarding for my dogs when we go away- they can share a room or have separate, they give them doggie ice cream and a blanket to lay on and they walk them. they have to be up to date on their shots. It's fairly reasonable, and you can call to check on them.
-they will also give them a bath &/or flea treatment if you want.

your vet probably has a boarding facility. I would avoid sitters unless you know them personally.
