This will probably be my last posting about this particular topic, but after thinking about it a long time last night, I realized that it all comes down to this:
Take a string, one that has no beginning or end. This will represent time. Now, put the Big bang on it. where does it go? there is no beginning. Let's just put in wherever you want. now, if the big bang created the universe, how is there so much string behind it? for the bang to come, there must have been something there to cause it, and since the line behind is infinite, it could not have at any point gradually happened in any way.
Now let's cut off what came before it, the big bang now made time itself. But wait... If it made time, how could it have just appeared? maybe it was in a partial timelike state, and simply pre existing forces from inexplanable dimension made it. We'll, we can just look at it and say that... something happened part by part... now we are back to the timeline, no matter how complex the forces.

So If that is wrong in any way or something was left out... what then was it? Everything points to slipping into another dimension or... a higher being as an inexplanable force.
What then happened? Don't assume that I am saying that the big bang is the definite way I think u think it came, I am open to hear anything else.

I definitely do not assume nothing came before the bang, I am saying that it goes on backwards FOREVER. what came before, came before that before that and so on.
STOP assuming I assume.

Your missing the point entirely. The state that the universe is in is an ever rotating cycle when you look at it like this. Time does not exist, this is a human condition. Think of it like a bunch of string dangling in the wind, some time these strings intersect; this is the state a which our universe is in now, the force of gravity is actually a weak force, it is leaking into this reality from another. When the strings of these two realities swing away from each other the universe as we know it will not exist, for nothing can exist in our reality with out gravity. This is what the big bang was, gravity stirred up the mix causing things to explode then come back together with the force of gravity. Back and forth this cycle happens, there is not beginning or end; it's just change that happens a never ending cycle. You have to remember that the concept of time is a man made concept, it really doesn't exist in the biggest grand scheme of things. I know this is a hard concept to grasp, but that is what quantum physics is all about, it is an abstract way of seeing how things work, and on that level it is the only way to see things, because on this scale the laws of the natural universe being to not apply.

What baffles me is that man kind can not simply except and enjoy the universe. They demand an explanation and a reason for existence. If we ever discover the mysteries of creation then high five and do a table dance - great, but in the mean time the idea of enjoying what's around us and accepting fate/life is left on the way side because first we have to have all the answers.
All you have to do is pick up a newspaper to see where that has lead us.
There is a happy medium, look for your answers, tone down the need for thrusting your personal opinions down every ones throat and stop, take in the view every now and again and just be happy your hear.

Your thinking seems disjointed and illogical. If time began at the big bang event, then there is NO BEFORE. Why did time appear you ask. There are all sorts of possibilities. The one that makes sense to me is that reality is based on mathematical truths, and that time and space derive from that. I think you need to get away from the idea that anything was "made". "Made" is a verb and as such is dependent on time. I Don't think of reality as something happening in time. Einstein showed that time is not something apart from nature. Time and Space are rather derived aspects of a static changeless reality. Think of the Big Bang as a special event not as an origin. It also isn't clear that the so called arrow of time is just one way. Perhaps it is just a matter of perspective.
Personally I suspect reality is infinite and based on mathematics, and time and space are derived from it. The idea of a creator is illogical for several reasons, not the least of which is that it leads to infinite regression. You now have the bigger problem of explaining why your creator exists.

You are assuming that nothing came before the big bang...
To answer your question Scientists currently don't have a good answer. However, just because they don't have an answer, doesn't assume that "someone" had to do it.
Early man through that the gods were responsible for the seasons, the sun rising, good crop growth, etc.
Once science determined how this happened, a belief that a "god" was responsible no longer made sense.
Who knows what theories scientists will develop over the next century.

There have been many big bangs, not just one. Yet again you rule out the possibility of infinity. Why is that such a hard concept for you to grasp? This world is in flux between collapse and expanse, a process that prevents thermal equilibrium. This has been going on infinitely. Its not simple, but its not too diffucult to understand.

Time, began with the Big Bang. Time and space are two sides of the same coin. Since any trace of the cause or causes for the Big Bang were destroyed by it. I guess, we will never know what came before. The perfect crime, all evidence gone. So, the age old question about what came before will go unanswered. At this point, it's all guess work.

I think you have put the point to everyone quite well. I like the way your mind thinks and how you then put it into words.
Thank you for the thought provoking question. I will ponder it and still not come up with the answer, but I like the question. You make sense in a way that I still don't understand but often think about.

time is another dimension that is not fully understood and took geniouses to even get to the point we are today on our knowledge of it.
there is simply alot that we don't know, and religion is a quick way man made up to explain it

You know, that very line of reasoning led me to one of the two questions I have asked here.
Take your string and place the creation on it. So, how long did god sit around in the dark before he created light?

the big bang doesn't posit that nothing existed before it.
where did you get that idea?
