The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

Jesus Christ is the "I AM" or God Himself in a visible body.

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."
-- Colossians 2:9

"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
-- John 14:9

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM."
-- John 8:58

The Holy Trinity - what a hot topic these days. It is encouraging for me to see so many other Christians agreeing with me these days. For those who want to contemplate the Holy Trinity, here is what you need to see my point of view:

Pay careful attention to what Jesus called himself and what Jesus said about Himself (1) "before glorification" compared to (2) "after glorification."

Before glorification is all throughout the four gopels as the "Son of God" and the "Son of Man" or the "Word become flesh" (the truth apart from the good). Jesus said that "only God is good" at this point.

After glorification is all throughout Revelation as Jesus being in the midst of the churches, Jesus having all power on heaven and earth, Jesus having the keys to hell and death, jesus being the Lord of lords and King of kings, Jesus being alive for ages and ages, etc.

As Revelation is the primary "post-glorification book" in the Bible, you can see the truth of the following statement:

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

Not multiple persons, personalities or bodies does our God (or Jesus) have.

I was raised as a Christian...so I understand their concept of the trinity. I am still a believer in all 3, as in God, Jesus and a Holy Spirit.

But if I change the names of the 3 to: "Higher Power", "Spiritual Master", "Divine Energy".....it offers another understanding of the trinity. It does not satisfy Christian religious tradition.

The logic is there....but the concept is much larger. Is the Spiritual Master the same as the Higher Power? Is the Divine Energy the same as the Higher Power? Possibly all 3 are from the same source and work in unity with each other, causing a sense of sameness, but still maintaining a subtle difference and separateness. Why else would we need 3 names for the same thing if they were one thing? (the trinity is not necessarily intended to be so very simple to understand as Christians believe).

I have yet to find anywhere in the Bible where the "Trinity" is clearly explained. So many times in the gospels, Jesus made references that he was not God. He always said, "Don't look at me, look at God." "I am not good, only God is." There is one scripture that says the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one, but yet part of that scripture was added in later and is not found in the original texts. By making a distinction between God and Jesus, it has brought me to a great understanding and appreciation of exactly what Jesus' role in our salvation was.

Here is how I see it:

1) God is God. He is the head.
2) Jesus is God's son. He was sent as a man to die for our sins, a living sacrifice. Jesus died and rose again, and conquered death.
3) Jesus said he would send another--a comforter. This could be either a) God's spirit or b) Jesus' spirit or c) the breath of God. (I haven't yet come to a conclusion on this yet.)

Jesus said He was sent forth by his Father. Jesus had a beginning but God the Father did not. You ask a great question about this. You will get more confused if you listen to the typical logic that Christians present. The Bible speaks about the Almighty who shall give his glory to no one. The Trinity is not a Bible teaching. Hence you should not look to the nominal christians for answers. They only repeat what their confused clergy tell them to say. Jesus came to replace what Adam lost....perfection for the human family. A ransom...for believers. God had no need to come in mans form. He sent his son and most rejected him. His main objection is to prove Satan a liar and let Gods name be known. Read the Gospel account of John that explains this so well. At John 17 Jesus is talking to his father and is praying to his father not himself. For more insight pray to the one and only true God Jehovah for Help ..please don't ask the clergy. They are not ready to give you clear answers. The dogma is overwhelming to a simple answer

God was the almighty god who has no beginning and no end he has always been here.
Col.1:15 says that Jesus is the first born of all creation. by him and through him all other things was created. He sits at the right hand of god. They created millions of spirit sons or angels to be in heaven with them. Each with different personalities and a seperate creation the bible says. Psalms 148:2,5
Some turned wicked, that is where Satan came from.
That is what happens when you give something free will they can choose the wrong way.
when he was to create a human being he said let us make man.
Not me but us.
We are like god in that we have thinking ability. Not in his form.
Because he is a spirit creature. Not flesh and blood.

Not totally, but on the "other hand" I don't think I want to serve a God that makes sense, just one that loves me and gave me parents that didn't make sense when I was a teen but got so smart by time I was 21.
Jesus (Yeshua) is God on Earth, Son of (Yahweh) G-d in Heaven. They are the same, but we have to accept Yeshua to get to Yahweh. Gotta believe (faith) He is who He said He Is (I and my Father are one).
Now, when Yeshua left us, He sent us a Comforter (a part of himself). Cause we were sure gonna miss His face.
But this one lives within us and guides us. He also takes our prayers to the Throne every time! and they are always the best of us by the time they get there as He knows what we want even when we do not know how to pray.
Father, Son, Holy Spirit.....all same, different roles.
Now, did you understand that? I still don't...........lol

But I DO SO KNOW, I know, I know, G-d is not imaginary for He lives within me.
Don't put too much stock in your URL source. It is a matter of Heaven or Hell.

Farther along, we'll know all about it, farther along, we'll understand why.
Cheer up my brother, live in the SON-shine, we'll understand it all by an' by.

This is an example of how modern Christianity has embraced a load of hogwash from the Athanasian Creed. True religion does NOT teach that God the Father and Jesus Christ are the same person. As you pointed out that belief is nonsense. If you look into the TRUE church of Jesus Christ, the one that teaches his actual doctrine in its purity you will have this point clarified. (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints)

Awesome Question. Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

"Let US make" .. In the Original Hebrew is asah = "Let US make."

GOD is made up of Three Persons. Like the term "Christians" Is one word representing many people with ONE belief.

GOD the Father, GOD the son, GOD the Holy Spirit.

God bless ya!

Faith is not supposed to "make sense." Faith is not built on logic, but on belief. Think of it this way....A hen's egg has a shell, the yoke, and the white. All of which makes it an "egg." GOD is a Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all of which makes it GOD! May GOD bless you in your journey.

i understand the concept and what is said and i do know the bible and have studied for years, but to have someone tell me i am going to hell for praying to God the allmighty and not going through Jesus to get there seems insane to me If God never changes and he could forgive befor Jesus, then why cant he do the same now.I believe there is one true God,the creator, the all knowing, the forgiver of sins, this makes sense to me
