I can tell you right now that Pornography is equal to the sin of Fornication. The reason it is equal to this sin is because if someone purposes it in their heart - and views it with their eyes - they have already committed that sin.

Porn is probably one of the biggest destroyers that we have in our modern age of technology and the Internet. It's prevelance and availability is unparalleled in any other time in history. The fact that is it so easily and readily available has put countless people at risk for an addiction that is beyond measure (and if not avoided - beyond control).

It has nearly destroyed my life, and I regret the fact that I have ever looked at such garbage. It distorts the thinking of the minds of the men who watch it (because lets get real - what woman would actually feel comfortable knowing that their boyfriend, husband, or whatever significant other's title you want to give him - was watching something that they could never compete with). And for the women who get trapped into that industry - damage beyond repair, and the potential for diseases that you'll never be able to cure.

The whole process is based on addiction. In knowing this - I hope someone who may read my response will take these things to heart before they decide to view it. You will never be that innocent again if you get hooked, and it will do you no favors - only damage.

No - Christians should not watch porn EVER (not occassionally or frequently or at all). The same goes for anyone regardless to your walk in life. Worst of all - it will certainly damage your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Don't sweat it, I bet all the other guys at your church are watching it too. It's more exciting to you because you feel like you're getting away with something. Stop caring about it so much and you'll probably wean yourself off it without much trouble. I do have to admit that I'm getting to be a bit more anti-porn lately, and the reason is that most of the girls in porn were abused as kids and are now lacking self-respect. I think porn is sad now where I didn't when I was younger. I truly feel bad for those girls... Anyway, back to your situation. The worst thing about porn (besides supporting people who profit off other peoples' suffering) is that REAL sex becomes less interesting after a while. If you're married or in a relationship this could have consequences later on. The girls tend to be younger, more adventurous and more athletic than their real-life counterparts, so you may find yourself wondering why your own sex life doesn't involve a girl reverse cowgirl-ing you while another one sits on your face. That will make you sad.

Idolaters will find their place in the lake of fire. Check out Revelation 21:8. Idolatry is worshipping anything other than the Living God described in the Bible. So guess what. Porn is idolatry and will take you to Hell. Defeat it my friend. Seek God's forgiveness for you have offended His Holiness. You grieve God's heart by fornicating with pornography and fuel God's wrath. Repent ( don't do it anymore) and trust Jesus to save you on the day of wrath. But you can't do it yourself you must ask and trust Jesus to save you from this addiction through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit and then you can defeat it and live for Christ.

Sounds like you're gloating than confessing. IF this is genuine, I'd suggest looking at just how unrealistic porn is in representing women and what they are like as well as like. The sooner you break yourself of the habit, the better chance of you establishing a real & meaningful relationship with one special person. .

I think this may be one of the most dangerous sins that satan uses against Christians. I mean, how easy can it be, home alone with your computer!? I will admit, when I finally got a home computer, I thought...hey...I can look up porn sites and no one would know. You know....just curious. Well. Of course, God knew and He spoke to me about it.

I have trouble losing my temper in my car, when I'm driving. I'm always having to ask God for forgiveness. He said to me, "this isn't like losing your temper in your car, this is very serious". Now if God says that to me, I'm going to listen.

I can easily see where it could lead to a horrible addiction. And, this once a month stuff? Please. We all know what we're like! For myself, it's "never again, with the help of God!" Plus which, I had to get rid of their stupid "cookies". I could just see someone stumbling across a history of porn sites on my computer. Yeah, that's a good witness for a Christian.

A Christian's best guide to answer this is the Bible. One of the Ten Commandments is 'You shall not commit adultery'. In Matthew 5:28, Jesus said that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery in his heart.
It is not only sad, but tragic that many Christians think it is alright to indulge in such viewing, but the truth is it poisons the mind with lustful thoughts which become ever harder to control.
Please don't do it EVER!
