true wisdom comes from understanding that the universe is balanced on our actions each and every one of us our understanding of the significance of this mystical fact lead us to an awesome conclusion:
each and every one of us is reponsible for how the universe will unfold
is it wrong for you to do the things you speak of if you question as to whether it is right or wrong then for this particular season in your life it would back away from these practices and immerse myself in catholicism and then as the weeks months years pass on by as you gain more of a foundation you may want to dabble a little
back off
appreciate that the divine presence is everywhere
no gesture is inconsequential
everything has meaning---a falling leaf a birdcall the shape of a cloud if this is true can you begin to imagine the implications of the things we do
this is how to cultivate awe
the sense of awe arises out the true understanding of the relationship between you, god and creation
the psalms say that "the beginning of wisdom is the awe of god,"
back off from your interest in withcraft and psychic things at least ways for a season and during this time cultivate awe

Being a psychic is not necessarily the same as engaging in witch-craft, but both are forbidden by the Church. It is really wrong to do these things and you need to stop immediately. I'm sorry to hear that you only found about this recently. Someone should have informed you much earlier that these practices are against the faith. But don't beat yourself up over not knowing about it sooner - if you didn't know that it was wrong at the time, you aren't as culpable for it. But now that you know, you have to stop.
Those practices are wrong because they rely on supernatural powers outside of Jesus Christ (and you don't want to mess with supernatural powers that aren't subject to Jesus!). There is no good way to do these things. Plus witchcraft/psychic stuff implies a desire for control over the future and other people that is God's perogative alone. No Catholic should take part in it, and frankly, no Catholic should want to. Remember we have the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Compared to receiving the body and blood of Christ, doesn't witchcraft look kind of lame?

You MUST dispense with the witchcraft. It is a form of Divination - and that is a direct offense against the First Commandment.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches:
2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to "unveil" the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.
2138 Superstition is a departure from the worship that we give to the true God. It is manifested in idolatry, as well as in various forms of divination and magic.
2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another's credulity.
If you didn't know that witchcraft is unorthodox, you needn't worry about the past. Now that you do know, however, you must do your best to live according to Gods' teaching through the Catholic Church.
If you truly are psychic, take care in using this Gift withint the confines that are allowed by Catholic Church. You might want to consult a priest about this, just to be sure you don't accidently misused your psychic ability.

As they say, Jesus Wept! The Catholics here said it best and most respectfully. It IS against their teachings.
Ignore the nutjobs who simply quote chapter and verse at you, and would have you burning up in the fires of hell. They know not of what they speak....
My advice to you is - if you wish to remain catholic, you'll have to give it up. If you have any psychic talents, use them wisely and not for your own benefit. Or really, don't USE them at all. You can't help what might happen to you, but you can help how you act upon things you may discern.
My best advice, though, is to follow whatever path is laid before you. If this leads you away from the church, so be it.

Yes. By practicing magic and witchcraft, you are trying to become a god instead of being humble and dependent on God.
Catholic Church teaches:
All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion.
These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons.
Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it.
With love in Christ.

Yes, its wrong. We all feel "psychic" at times- and even the bible has proof of that. (The night of Jesus' cruxification, Mary woke up with a horrible feeling about him.) Anyways- dont feel bad for feeling pyschic, but if you dont want to displease God, stop practicing witchcraft (which is actually another religion) and practice Catholicism.
Hope all goes well and God bless.

Okay. you have a gift that was not socially recogized as acceptable back in the day, don't fotget the "rules" were written a long time ago. If you are physcic you must not use catholic (or any religion) in the same sentence .Love your gift. U have a gift and I love it, use it. If god can forgive all the people that sin and then go to comunion and expect forgivness, you are a saint.

technically, yes, witchcraft is against the bible. it has long been considered the devil's work by many religions. psychic ability is different. many lay men and women have been blessed with divine powers. some temporary, some long term. joan of arc was burned at the stake for hers. ordinary people with extra-ordinary powers are a threat to those in charge and collecting the donation basket. i think if you use your powers for good then there can be no harm in it.
trust your instinct.

Withcraft is a sin leave it alone nothing good about it at all.
You are stepping in a spiritual realm in which you know not, filled with demonic spirits and curses you don't want to tangle with.
God forbid this sorcery and anything that goes with it. Don't be one of those in the lake of fire that revelations speaks of.
Leave it alone! It's a trick of satan and he or it means you no good.

Seek God and read the scriptures, it is wrong to practice withcraft of any kind. Just ask the Lord to forgive. He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.
