I believe I have the round face classification, and am trying to find a good hairstyle. Would a bob be appropriate?

Since full cheeks can conceal even the best bone structure, a round face can lack definition. Very short cuts and cuts with a lot of volume on the sides only emphasize fullness.

Your best cut: Styles with face-framing layers and choppy bangs can slim a full face and create the illusion of cheekbones. If you like short hair, try a bob with razored ends and cheek-grazing pieces, like Renée Zellweger's, which breaks up the roundness and adds angles where they don't naturally exist. If short is not your thing, aim for looks that fall to the chin and longer. The extra length will help elongate a full face, making it appear more oval.

A slightly off-center part works best, as it offsets roundness, but a center part (paired with one of the above-mentioned styles) can draw the eye up, giving your face the appearance of a longer shape.

Round Face Bob

I got the following off the internet: A short, fringy cut brushed forward looks great on a round face
Your goal when you have a round face is to add some definition & play down the roundness of your cheeks. A great haircut for you is the short, pixie with wisps around the face. This cut is brushed forward, de-emphasizing roundness by allowing hair to fall close to your head (any width or curl at the sides of your face only highlight your face's roundness). Another way to style this gorgeous look: Create a deep side part, smooth sections around the face & leave back messy. For more oomph, get some chunky highlights.
And no, I would not get a bob because I think it would make your face look rounder.

The shape of the round face is classified to fit any type of hairstyle. Talk with your stylist to see if they put your face in this classification, because there are many types of face shapes. i.e. round, square, oval, heart, pear, diamond, and the inverted triangle. If your face is in fact round shaped then my professional opinion is that a "Bob", also known as the blunt style would look great on you. You may also want to consider an A-line cut.

Ive read in magazines the best haircut for a round face is longer than shoulder length ,if you go above the shoulders your face will appear rounder and fatter, my face is round and i have medium length hair with the ends layered , Ive also had it shorter with a bob type cut & my face looked really full & round this is better for me,hope it helps you deside.

While I agree with most all of the answers here, I would like to point out one thing to many of the people who have given you the advice: round is not fat! How would square then be classified?! Heart-shaped? It is a matter of structure, not weight. Let me take that back, heavy set people perhaps do have rounder faces, yes, but round does not always imply fat.
I will get off my soap box now.
But seriously, I think the fringed layered look softly brushing the sides of your face would look great. Good luck and enjoy whatever cut you choose.

NO!

A bob is the worst haircut for someone with a round face as it accentuates the roundness.

Get something with length and choppy layers, maybe even a fringe.

It's all just a matter of personal preference. We have short hair and guys such as it. And i prefer a person with short hair over a guy with long hair because long curly hair tends to make guys look as well girly.
