you definately need to come up with a creative and romantic way. you might try doing something like take a walk by a lake or river and have some daisies waiting for her. then get down on one knee and ask her. i am glad you realize it is a big deal cause it is a big deal.

look through a book of flowers and find one that suites her personality. Roses and carnations are very pretty but very typical, find a flower that would really catch her attention. Find out the meaning of the flower, ie. red rose is love, white is purity, pink sweetheart and so on. Something out of the ordinary. along with the flower(s) send a poem about her and what it is that you like about her and at the end invite her somewhere. At 16 money maybe an issue, so don't do anything extravagant. do something laid back where there is no pressure to be perfect. This will also give you more opportunity to get to know each other. It will show that you really are interested in her and that you do pay attention to her and the things she like.

God I wish there were more 16-year-old guys like you. Anyway, ask her what her favorite color is beforehand (in casual conversation. If you don't dare ask, just guess), then get any reasonably pretty flowers that are that color. (be sure to mention SHYLY that you saw the flowers and either remembered that that was her favorite color, if you asked, or that they reminded you of her, if you didn't.) The fact that you're giving her flowers will be basically holding a sign over your head screaming I LIKE YOU, but if she smiles up at you and doesn't seem to want to walk away after you give her the flowers, that'll be a good moment to ask her out. Do it at a relaxed time, maybe after your last class when you two aren't trying to avoid the stampede in the hallways.

I always thought being asked was kind of awkward. I think just holding her hand or kissing her (if you want to be bold) will show her that you like her, if she goes with it, she probably likes you too. This could have worked because i'm in such a small town, and it's hard to hide things from people in small towns, but it always worked for the guys I dated. Good luck, hope everything goes well. Oh, and flowers, aren't always the best gift, they die quickly and are very expensive, but if you still wanna do flowers, i would say maybe carnations died or tipped in her favorite color.

My favorite flowers are lilacs, but good luck trying to find them this time of year! I once got asked out by an empty box of chocolate, the note said, if you want a boyfriend and the chocolate, then go to______(location) Signed_____(your name) I thought it was very unique and kinda cute!
