Religion seems to be more addictive and it's cheaper but both seem to have pretty much the same effect on people. Massive mood swings from the cloying lovey-doveyness and joy to hatred and ultra-violence, for example.
Which is best? Which deserves to be taxed more?

Beer has brought more pleasure, and even with DUIs and accidents, I would say much less death.

First of all that marco guy should learn to respect muslims and than answer.Religion is better because it doesnt make u do stupid things when ur drunk,ie end up marrying someone in a chapel and divorce them next morning,puke all over urself or choke in it,end up kissing someone u would never even think of talking with,pay for a massive headache next morning and dont forget the tax that comes with the headache and the list goes on......

just think of it this way, there will be free beer in heaven, but no hangovers. Now that is a worthy goal my friends, however i have a disability, i cannot drink beer because it does not stay down, but i will say this, Rum is better than both beer and religion.

If you find Real Religion that heals and makes you whole it does not make you a weirdo or worse off, like too much beer. Finding Jesus and the Great Love that He has for you can transform your life.
The biggest mistake people make about this is to not give it time to work and to not put themselves in God's hands over the long term. To seek Him daily, relentlessly until they get the answers and the healing that they seek.
Our society takes us so far from that truth that Christians have to immerse themselves into the Life of Christ to shed the crap that they knew before they knew Him. This is not a theory. I have lived it out.

Playing religion and Beer is about the same... knowing Christ is better then this two....There are people that call themselves Christians and still play religion go to Church on Sundays and still go to the club and get drunk.. thats so much for religion.. Religion wont change your life .. Whats better that this is having relationship with God and living right... many people say that beer is better until the get an STD for drinking to much to know what they are doing .. Having relationship with God is .. repenting of you sin ..going to church and aplaying his word into your life.. only then you could really know whats better .. or until beer kill you and sends you to hell...

Well, eventually you run out of beer. And too much gives you a beer gut. Religion is much easier to get before 12 am on a Sunday, too.

Why do you western people compare spirituality with materialistic things. there is no space for hatred in religion if you truly know th meaning of it. Religion does not mean being Hindu, Muslim, Christian ...... These names are merely the name of your beliefs. Beer with some religions will make it easier to understand what they from you, assuming the religion lets you drink that is.
Religion should be taxed and Beer is better.

religion is so much better than beer. beer should not even exist. it should be taxed so high that no one can afford it. beer causes death and makes you do and say things you wouldnt do, not to mention hangovers in the morning. religion, on the other hand, fills you with a sense of well being that makes you feel good about yourself in the morning. Hmm.... hangover or sense of well being? i think ill take the well being. do us all a favor and quit drinking before you kill someone.
