If they survived, why do you bury them?

You must work for the airline because it is cheaper for them if you die rather than if you live & get hurt!

I remember this riddle or one like it in another state or country, back in the 50's, or when postage stamps were 3 cents. Another such riddle was;

"Quick, how many 3 cent stamps in a dozen!"

Most people would quickly divide and say, um, 4.
