Oh Geeze, I thought you were talking about us. I hope my husband didn't drink his tea tonight,Seriously, find a beautiful place, find a person that can make the union legal and marry your love one. It doesn't have to be done in a church. The only thing I would tell you, is you need the proper officiant to make it legal. Have a friend get ordained off the Internet Nothing about the ceremony needs to be spiritual. The ceremony will be legal after the required papers are filed.

You can't actually get married outside in the UK unless it's under a permanant structure, you can get legally married and then on the day have a blessing outdoors if you want. I have heard that the law may be changed, I am hoping this may be the case by August next year. Good luck!

Contact your local registry office, legal marriages can be conducted out doors now. However the location needs a liscence. The registry office will be able to tell you which locations already have a liscence and what they are like.If you find somewhere you like that dosent already have a liscence you can apply for one your self, however it costs about £200. Alternativly have a registry office wedding and then a big out door ceremony, in a location without a liscence. You could ask a friend to conduct it and as the legal bit is already over and done with you could just go as wild as you like!

I would have you both get married in a small airplane, so if either of you has second thoughts, you can jump out the window! You could have it circle Gloucestershire, just so you wouldn't have so far to walk home, &c. Best of luck to you both and please accept my Congratulations in advance of the fact, from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old.)

Personally if I lived anywhere on the island I would get married at Gretna Green over the anvil.
