I remember a cat I had once....it was raining one day and I was standing looking out the window. She was next to me and looked at me. She usually went outside during the day. I could swear her little cat brain was accusing me of making it all wet so she couldn't go out!

you've become a can opener in her eyes. Either that or she misses you - but I'll go with the can opener.
I didn't miss you at all.
She's just telling you she loves you long enough to get fed. After that she'll ignore you again.

Ha! SHE'S the God, and the rubbing is to remind you that if you don't stop what you're doing and worship her like one, she will smother you in your sleep.

Sure, if you want to see it that way. Your cat is thinking more along the lines of "chef" and "door man", and possibly "massage therapist".

You only wish you were that important to your cat! You are merely the owner of the thumbs. If she had thumbs, she wouldn't need you! :-)

I don't know about a "god" per se. The cats are the ones who think they are gods. Check this one out

Dog's View : "Wow, they pet me, they feed me, they take care of me. They must be god!"

Cat's View: "Wow, they pet me, they feed me, they take care of me. I must be a god!"
