There is bashing for all here. This is an equal-opportunity bashing site. I have seen Atheists, Muslims, Jews, Agnostics, Christians, Wiccans, and Zionists all get bashed for no good reason. Some are overzealous in their beliefs, some stubborn, and some just plain rude.

I really do not understand the athiest-bashing any more than I understand faith-bashing, gay-bashing, blonde-bashing or any of the other bashings (aka prejudices) that folks engage in.

I suspect such individuals have so little control in their lives that 'bashing' (like prejudice) is an attempt to fabricate some measure of 'control' or 'self-worth' or even 'security' they are unable to find through healthy, productive channels.

The Bible does not lead Christians to bash non-Christians, and anyone who believes that it does is operating under a cloud of self-deception.

I don't think ignorance is the best answer since no matter what side you're on....ignorance will always be our greatest enemy.

I think they bash us because they (members of the Christian faith-note that not all of them though) are told that we will go to hell and that makes it ok to bash us if we're going there anyways even if it is in the present realm of our existence.

the question in our minds in this forum, is why be here,, isnt a lack of belief in the unseen and in a spiritual realm the definition of an atheist,, im not wrong in saying that they dont believe in God or Budhas or the Prophets ,,so why hang about in the forum to exchange spiritual and religious knowledge ,,,its kind of illogical to do that except to taunt and tease folks,, and then claim intellectual superiority ,also ,, cant they see thats asinine in concept and execution, to hang around church when you'd rather be at starbucks

When they can't attack our arguments they attack us..or tell us we are bitter and angry. I'm sick of it myself. This just shows that they can't win an argument.

They accuse us of bashing them when in reality, for the most part, we are bashing what they believe and not their person. They take it as a personal attack for some reason.

Like i said, this is just a sign that they can't refute our arguments. They have to resort to name calling, attacking our characters and idle threats.

people hate us because they know we are the ones not blinded by faith and as a result are going to rule the world. they are only prolonging the enevitable.

i really think its because they cant understand why we cant believe in a supernatural force that governs all forms of life in the universe.

They're scared we'll take away their religious freedoms. That couldn't be further from the truth. We'll follow what we "preach". Whatever you want to believe go ahead, just don't limit what others believe.

It's their fellow religious people that will want to limit their freedoms.

I haven't "bashed" any, but I"m sure some do. I have to admit tho that I do get alittle testy when they come and insult Christianity. God loves them too.

A popular mantra of Christians is WWJD. I think the bashers are not at all the good Christians they think they are. They don't follow or understand their own belief system and if there was a god, he would not be at all happy with their behavior.

Insecurity... Next they'll toss stones, call for holey wars, and start slowly gathering and rallying the troops for a new crusade. They think that they're the only people who can be honest, moral and loving because "it is written" in a few old books - compilations of groundless beliefs, out of date laws, stories and tall tales.
