How come my people (black) are always caught with marijuana or unlawful possession of a weapon by cops?

In my town, you'll see a good majority of the incarcerated or citated are black. I'm tired of this. The cops is harrassing us n' ****, feel me? Also you'll see a good portion of the people just tryna chill out and relax are getting harassed by these cops. For instance, the vikings and daunte culpepper got in troulbe on that boat. Cops just go ***** snooping i swear. If that was dan marino or some other whitey, they would have condoned that. Also my bull steve foley and the cb from texas are always getting in trouble. I think the cops ar ejust tryna make money so they corrupt the system. We'rnt always wielding gats and brandishing knifes 24/7, feel me? Also i don't understand the pepole that don't like rap. That **** is forreal, i mean seriously that is how we as artists articulate ourselves and show we are activists against the oppresive governemtn. For one police target known areas where criminal activity might be taking place. This is EVERYWHERE. Ensure NO brutality has taken place because THAT is more an issue. For those who are just chillin there is always a snoop that thinks their life is in jeopardy and the police phone rings from 911's and they HAVE to respond.

Best idea is for everyone to get together in town hall and talk about constructive projects to get people working on to slowly reduce police agendas that believe there is a need to curb a condition as they perceive at this time. Everyone working at it a little at a time at least is working "for" people to get together is a good start.

Shut the **** up. Does your town have a high percentage of black people? Maybe in your town most of the people actually doing the crimes are black, or maybe they just aren't as careful as the rest of the people. Quit blaming other people for your problems. I love these questions...

First of all, to alleviate any questions, I am black as well, so I'm happy to offer my take on this one.

So...to get the obvious stuff out of the way first...If you don't smoke weed and carry illegal weapons there's a pretty strong chance that you WON'T GET CAUGHT CARRYING ANY OF THEM!!! Don't ask stupid questions like this and expect sympathy!!

Marijuana is illegal. Unlicensed handguns/assault rifles...etc...etc. are ILLEGAL!!! If you possess them you are breaking the law! Get over it!! You don't want to be busted or harassed by the cops...don't give them a reason to. Change your image to something that doesn't give the impression that you are doing something wrong...or about to.

If it seems that cops are always "harassing" black folks, it may be because typically we have something to hide. Those of us that don't, suffer as a result of the rest of us who decide to not abide by the rules. Do some people get needlessly harassed? YES...could it be avoided? YES...if we as a people straighten up our act and collectively stop doing illegal crap like what has already been mentioned. White folks, Latinos, and other races smoke weed too...ever been to Oregon?? LOL!! My point is that they don't make it a point of brandishing it out in the open and then b***h when the cops bust them for it. DUH!!! How stupid is that?! Now, lastly...you need to go back and read your own question. Why do you expect anyone to respect you or "our people" when you refer to yourself and "us" as n****s. You degrade yourself (and the rest of "us") just by even using that word. If a white person called you that, you would be ready to come to blows, but you use it upon yourself. You should erase that word from your vocabulary and suggest that your peers do the same. There is NOTHING positive about that word. It was created to be derogatory and us using it to refer to each other does NOT change that nor does it make it any less offensive.

Additionally, your use of the english language is horrible. People will judge you by how you express yourself and if how you express yourself sounds uneducated...guess how they will think of you...exactly...UNEDUCATED. You should spend more time trying to excel academically instead of trying to incite more hate and gain sympathy for actions that are clearly wrong to begin with.

If you truly want things to improve for "our people," you need to do your part...stop making excuses for people who are clearly in the wrong, and spend more time improving yourself so that when other people meet you, you represent "us" in a much more positive light.
