It depends- I had some shorter length acrylics on after I got engaged because I wanted to show off my dazzler- with a french mani, and they looked good. The downside is that when the nails came off, my fingernails looked like hell. They were super thin and almost flaky from removing the adhesive.What is considered chic typically are smaller oval or square shaped nails manicured in buff, pale pink or French mani. I personally think guys would like a well-groomed look as opposd to those tacky, mile-long airbrushed numbers that scream "ghetto".

Guys find long (ish)well shaped nails sexy. It's not really the fake nails just the long well shaped ones with polish. The problem is not every woman has nails that grow the right way-- some turn up or some are too narrow. Fake nails can fool people into thinking they have nice hands with great nails.

Women with fake fingernails make me think of the woman as being very superficial. I can't speak for all men, but I like women who can be themselves without a lot of makeup.

I dont think guys really care about fingernails as long as they are taken care of. My husband hates my long fingernails and they are real. I have to keep them squared off instead of pointed, lol or he will wine until I chop them;).
My preference is real, I dont like fake. Yes-I wear makeup, but in moderation.

False fingernails look good on other people but not for me. The problem is that they don't last for more than a week or so and once they mess up, they look terrible. It is also a very costly expenditure because you have to keep it up.

No guys dont like them. I think they are rediculous looking and a waste of your money. If I see a woman with obnoxious fingernails on... I wont even consider hitting on her. Why would I want to date someone who obviously values something so foolish. Whats next? It only proves how much its going to cost to date this gal. Bottom line... i wouldn't waste my time.

many times, guys can't even tell the difference. Guys generally like a pampered girl.... so fake nails are better than poorly taken care of nails... but real nails are better than fake. I don't know of too many guys who really have a preference, of if they did... it would ever matter enough to make you decide if YOU want them or not.

I doubt guys in general care, unless you poke them in the eye with one or you can use one as a screwdriver in a pinch.
If you hate fake fingernails, don't use them. It's your body.

Guys think fake fingernails are as disappointing as a thick padded bra/maximizer! They are both FAKE! Why the hell should girls even wear them??

Nah, you aren't the only one. You can tell alot about a girl by the amount of 'fake' things she wears. Nails, tonns of make up, Unnessicarily revealing outfits, etc. Not good.
