My speedometer fluctuates 10-15mph. Along with this the transmission downshifts improperly and the cruise control won't hold a constant speed. I have replaced the speed sensor in the rear end. Help....what could this be?

You may want to remove the inspection plate on the rear end to see if some teeth are damaged on the exciter ring that makes the speed sensor work.

You said p-stroke but not what year p-stroke....

the 94-97s were famous for the PSOM or speedometer causing all kind of headaches like what you describe

the newer ones get it's information from the abs module that gets it from the speed sensor (there is a redundant in the transmission) and if it's getting the wrong info due to abs module, the ring as someone said or wiring, it will cause the same problems.... you need a tech to scan test the pcm and see what the pcm is getting told to try to narrow the problem

Sounds more like the speed sensor on the tranny instead of the rear
