This is real everyone and its freaking me out!!..I have a Myspace page..and this lady found me by accident and I had dated a guy who now is her husband..(long b4 they were married) it was over 10 years ago..well she writes me as she comes across my pic and said she was shocked because her husband told her I died in the late 90's..and gave details of how I died..he said it was a tornado that killed me..
So for the last 10 years his whole family thinks I am dead..why would he do such a thing? We broke up on good terms..I knew his whole family..and to think I have been dead to them gives me goosebumps and I cant sleep..am I overreacting? Thanks..

It's creepy, and that guy clearly felt like he needed to lie to his wife about you for some reason.
At the same time, don't get into this further and contact him or anything. You don't want to end up in the middle of a marital dispute.

Yes, your overreacting. Its been 10 years so obviously no one has been missing anyone. They didn't try to go to your funeral or otherwise they would know your alive.
A couple of things seem a bit off. If she thought you were dead, how did she accidently come across your picture. I have seen people who looked like people I knew but never contacted them. The point is why contact someone who you believe to be dead. I have a feeling you are being lied to. Proably to keep you from trying to reignite an old flame.

That is pretty crazy.... hmmm, who knows what went through his head when saying something like that.... I can think of few things...
1. his wife was jealous of his past relationships so when he happened to bring you up or made some association to her about you she freaked out and he made of the story..
2. He made up the story for her to feel bad for him...
3. He made up the story because he was really hurt about the breakup so he thought maybe if he said you died then no one would bring you up ever again. Or maybe he wanted to believe that so he would stop feeling something for you.
It definitely is weird.. but I would say you should be thankful you did break up with him. that is not normal for someone to do something like that..
I would feel the same as you right now... Just relax and try to get past it..
GOOD LUCK!!!

no but that's kind of weird... one reason would be if she was a crazy controlling freak who gets mad about little things like past girlfriends, and say one day she asked him about it and since he knows she was going to over react to what he said if he told her she had a good relationship with this one girl way back in the day, he just went and said you died and it made it a whole lot easier for him, guys are like that, he probably said it once and it never came up again and that's why he never made so much of a big deal about it... just don't stress too much because your alive and well i hope, so don't let it get to you...if he isn't in your life anymore then it shouldn't matter.

More than likely he probably did this because his woman was feeling insecure, and she was probably questioning the feelings he had for you. So when you all dropped all contact and he mentioned you she probably had a bad reaction to it, so eventually he just said you were dead to get you out of his system and hers. Or it could just be a jealous wife trying to get under your skin. Also sometimes when people break up on "good terms" there are still unleft things said and feelings still felt despite the break up. but that's just what I think...

STOP yes i think you are over reacting, only he knows why he said what he did, maybe some idiot told him or it was a mix up, or he just said it to stop his wife being jealous or something, BUT whatever the reason, why lose sleep over it, let it drop forget it, you knew him 10 years ago, it dosent matter what he thought, so forget the past,

Look at you, you are beautiful, and a threat maybe at one time so he makes up this story so she doesn't have to worry about you coming back..why? Because he still is hot for you, and that is why he made up that story, so his feelings for you could be covered up. Yes, a man made yet another stupid error, but since they are born that way, what can you do.

Seriously, that is a very, very disturbing thing to find out, and it's not a wonder that you are losing sleep over it. BUT;
I think that I would not be able to resist the tempataion to go to his house on halloween, drape a sheet over my head, and just stand on their porch saying "oooOOOOOoooooo" "Damn weather report said it was going to miss me" "OOOooooOOOO"
"If you weren't late picking me up for our date I would'a been out of my doublewide before it hit!" "OOOOOOOOOOO"
Maybe hire some munchkins to dance around you to complete the picture...

X no, you are not over reacting, I think I would have felt the same way in your situation. I'd want to talk to him and find out why he lied. His answer may be what you need to justify your mind. Good luck hun.
